The Patriots reportedly cut OLB Rosey Colvin because he failed a physical.
He's recovering from a foot injury, and possibly an arm injury, so failing a physical isn't a huge surprise. It could just be a procedural move. Colvin may hang around on the free agent market for a while until he can show teams he's healthy.

Id take Seau back and maybe take a look at Kendrell Bell. Also, if they pick up Gholston in the draft they can have Vrabel or Thomas move inside. Or if they trade down I could see them picking up Conner from PSU if they trade down to the mid twenties.

They wouldn't take Conner in the first round. they could possibly sign Haggans, Bell or Dan Morgan, but I don't think they'll draft for MLB.

Kevin Faulk Passes Drug Test
Following his arrest on a misdemeanor marijuana charge last week, Kevin Faulk reportedly passed a drug test and will not be admitted into the league's substance abuse program.
Faulk said the marijuana wasn't his and it appears he was being honest. Either that, or he never got a chance to do whatever it was he was planning. Faulk informed the Patriots of the incident and should be clear going forward.

Like I said, Faulk knows how to play the game. his status will not be changing.

so they have 3 out of 5 major contributing LBs from last years team.

put that with the exact same DL (w/ a hopefully much healthier Seymour) and 3 out of 5 major contributors in the secondary.

QB, RB, OL, TE are exactly the same aswell.

not too bad for the NFL's second best team last year.

Patriots re-sign WR Washington
BOSTON (Ticker) - The New England Patriots signed one wide receiver - just not the one who is No. 1 on their wish list.

Kelley Washington and the Patriots agreed to terms on a new contract Thursday night, according to the Boston Globe.

Financial terms and length of the deal were not disclosed.

With star wideout Randy Moss an unrestricted free agent, the Patriots likely viewed Washington as a fall-back option.

New England signed Washington as an unrestricted free agent in March 2007 to compete for a starting job, but they then traded for Moss and Wes Welker and also signed free agent Donte Stallworth, relegating Washington to special teams duty.

Washington did not have a reception last season. In four previous seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, he had 72 catches for 893 yards and nine touchdowns.
