Never before has a case of professional athletes being so out of touch with their fan base been more apparent than during Thursday night's public embarrassment at The Q.  Cavs players hugged and fraternized with LeQuitter before tip off, and then went as far as to exchange playful banter with him during the game.  And when they weren't blowing him kisses, they were laying out their matador cape for him as he made a slew of uncontested shots and drives to the basket.

Couple all that with a lack of effort as a team on the court en route to a 30 point blowout loss ... and it's pretty clear - the Cavs lost a massive chunk of the fan base Thursday night.  And rightfully so.

Boobie Gibson, who is very active on Twitter and spends a lot of time making appearances around town, likely caught the wrath of the fans worse than anyone yesterday.  And he's taken to the defensive, claiming that the sweet nothings that the Cavs were whispering into The Whore of Akron's ears weren't as romantic as they appeared to be.

That's stupid. He's their good friend and was the leader of their team for several years.

I don't fault anyone for having a friendship with LeBron, but when you're paid by an arena full of rabid fans who were devastated by him, you keep that friendship off the court for 3 hours. Of course, such a slight might be forgiven if the Cavs had played basketball that night.

They didn't have a really huge fanbase before Lebron anyway. Pro basketball is about stars. If you don't have stars, it isn't worth your time whatsoever. It sucks losing a once in a lifetime player with no championships, but really the other night indicates how shitty that team was without the Bron. Most people would simply choose Miami over Cleveland. It's a tough city to live in with the weather. I empathize with the plight of Cleveland but ignoring the awful Cavs and Le Bron in general is probably a good idea. The Browns are fun to watch and hopefully the Indians will be back sometime soon. The Cavs...they are dull and boring and miserable, no reason to waste time with them.

Pro Athletes rarely give a shit about anyone but themselves and owners less so.

It does indicate how little they pay attention that they are over there loving on the guy that shit all over them, hell it probably indicates star worship even more. A lot of those guys made better money on the back of Lebron. Sports are supposed to be fun, part of that for me is trying not to get too caught up in it, because I can't change anything about the outcome of the game and the players.... really could give fuck all about anyone but themselves. Hating Lebron only really makes fans of Cleveland unhappy. Better to focus that energy on something else.

Sports is the only business where people get ridiculed for not spending their money to see a team play and thus make players and owners wealthy. True fan nonsense is just garbage. Don't waste good time and money on a shitty product.

Huge game Friday.

Really really looking forward to it. See if the Vikings are for real.

Our prospects for an NBA Championship are not looking very good right now.

That girl's going to have to be excited about anal to ease the pain of a 21 game losing streak.
