Come on Ellis, you know you LOVE your right fielder.
I do and so should everyone else after he hit that grand slam. Not to mention what he went through last year as a father. I expect him to pick up the slack when Lowell shits the bed the second half of this year.
what are the vegas odds for teams to win the world series? i'm thinking boston should be tops, just edging out detroit.....and my marlins will probably have the longest odds, just like my dolphins.

i'd say you got it right, not to mention the yanks are probably top 5 among sox, tigers, angels and mets.
well its a little different than i would have guessed. tigers 5th?
Boston Red Sox 9-2 New York Mets 5-1 New York Yankees 11-2 Los Angeles Angels 15-2 Detroit Tigers 8-1 Cleveland Indians 10-1 Chicago Cubs 10-1 Atlanta Braves 16-1 Milwaukee Brewers 18-1 Arizona Diamondbacks 18-1 Philadelphia Phillies 20-1 Toronto Blue Jays 20-1 Colorado Rockies 22-1 San Diego Padres 22-1 Los Angeles Dodgers 22-1 St. Louis Cardinals 28-1 Seattle Mariners 35-1 Minnesota Twins 40-1 Houston Astros 40-1 Cincinnati Reds 55-1 Chicago White Sox 60-1 Oakland Athletics 65-1 San Francisco Giants 85-1 Texas Rangers 100-1 Florida Marlins 125-1 Baltimore Orioles 150-1 Kansas City Royals 150-1 Pittsburgh Pirates 150-1 Tampa Bay Rays 150-1 Washington Nationals 200-1
and my marlins aren't last! guess they're counting on hanley to hit 50 hrs, steal 50 bases, hit .400, win 20 games and strike out 300.

Hansen was suffering from obstructive sleep apnea, a condition that occurs when the muscles in the back of the throat relax. When that happens, according to MayoClinic.com, the airway narrows, or closes, and breathing may be inadequate for 10 to 20 seconds, leading to a drop in blood oxygen.
"Your brain senses this inability to breathe and briefly rouses you from sleep so that you can reopen your airway," the website states. "This awakening is usually so brief that you don't remember it."
These interruptions, which often are accompanied by a snorting, gasping, or choking sound, can occur 20-30 times an hour for someone with obstructive sleep apnea, interrupting deep sleep without the person knowing it. In Hansen's case, he was told it was happening 56 times an hour, which basically means he was getting just a couple of minutes of rest per hour.
"I had no clue," he said. "I thought I was getting eight hours' sleep and wake up still tired. I was basically getting two hours' sleep total."

Yea I remember hearing something about that last season. Hopefully he can pull it together.
yea, i don't expect this to instantly make him a stud bullpen arm, but i think its crazy that he'd only get 2 hours of sleep some nights. my take is that this should only help his development.
