Doesn't he still have an arbitration year left? You have a while to decide. Hell, you may be even able to sign him to a 3 year, 40 million deal, with some 15 mil club options that become vested if he stays healthy. Because if he's healthy, he's a player

You guys do realize that he's played in 227 out of a possible 455 games the past 3 seasons right? With Boras representing him there's 0.1% chance he signs for 3/40. Again, I think Boras leads out with Crawford $/years to start negotiations. He's a very good player when he's healthy, that just hasn't been the case the last few years. He would really scare me to sign long term.

I dont see Ellsbury in the same light as Damon. Damon would die for his team, as evidenced in the 2003 playoffs. I dont get anything close to that vibe from Ellsbury, and I'm not calling him a pansy his injuries have been legit. I just dont see Ellsbury as the type of guy that really gives that much of a shit whether his team is winning or not, and that is THE problem with this team over the last few seasons. Ellsbury is a good player that I would take back at a reasonable rate, but I would never give him a 5,6, or 7 year deal with over 100million. Damon signed with the Yankees on a contract that was reasonable and that the Red Sox easily could have afforded, Theo just didnt want Damon, he tried to trade him multiple times before he left as a FA.

Kalish over Reddick appears to be a fantastic job of player evaluation by Ben and the boys.

Is it bad that I'm rooting for them to push this streak further?

I find myself lying to people about what I watched the night before and pretending I dont still watch every one of these awful, embarrassing games.

I got a sick pine green Astros hat in Houston that I've been rocking more lately. I want to pick up the Jays hat and the new O's hat with the white front.

As I've said before...get rid of Fenway Park. It is too old. The city needs a modern facility in Boston proper. If we start now, it might be built by 2030.
