Figured i needed a Colts thread here since this board is full of Indy fans
Still can't believe we pulled that out yesterday. I left with 4:14 left trailing 27-17. The onside kick failed and i just didn't want to be torured anymore so i had the wife take me home. I'm a spoiled Colts fan and haven't had a year like this since 2002 so it's a bit harder to handle the pain of losing when you're used to 11 to 13 wins every year. The Colts haven't lost in October since 2005! That's crazy!
So i left the bar and clikced on cbssportsline when i got home to see if there was any semblence of hope. By the time i got home the Colts were down 27-24 and had 1st and goal at the 10 yard line. 5 seconds later they basically had the win and put themselves back in the mix.
There's a lot of people saying this team should be 0-4 as they came back from 15-0 to the Vikes and this weeks miracle. They could be 3-1 though cause they had the Jags beat until the last minute of the game.. Either way, we'e in the hunt and i feel confident that this team can make some noise this year. They have looked sluggish all year but guys are getting healthy(especially the O-Line and the receivers) and a win like yesterdays can go a long way. I don't fear any team in the AFC right now(including the Titans) and there are enough guys from the 2006/7 championship team to get this ball rolling and perhaps capture the title again. They obviously are nowhere near there yet but either is any team and i think the Colts can play with any team in this conference on any field.
One team that is scary is the Steelers and most of that has to do with Big ben. That guy is the ultimate competitor and his play the first 5 games of the season can be summed up as just plain gutsy. Plus he knows how to win and will sacrifice his body to do it. He's such an old school player and i respect him more than any QB in the league. That team is scary but mostly because of him. They have some all pro defensive players as well(Troy P and J Harrison) and some top notch receivers but Big ben is the heart and soul of that team and he scares the shit out of me. What a performance by him last night.

I keep watching the play Robert Mathis made at the end of the game on Sunday. The guy sprints like Reggie Bush and then makes a last second leap to strip the ball for Rosenfels, then he recovers the fumble. Sick fucking play!

Saw this on Yahoo. Even as a kid, Peyton's forehead was huge. Plenty of room to store football knowledge, right?
Great pic! Eli has the same aloof look on his face that he has now. Peyton looks almost cocky with no traces of the infamous "Peyton Manning" face. I guess it took a couple of beatdowns by Florida to get that started.

hey clubber, Dallas Clark is killing me fantasy wise. is he still hurt?
He's fine, except Peyton has been laying him out a bit too much this season. I'd stick with him if i was you. They use him in the red-zone a lot and i can see him coming back to form soon enough.

Dear Clubber,
My defense has a bye week, should I pick up the Colts this week? They have a fairly favorable matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
I picked them up in one of my leagues cause i think they can get to Flacco and force some INT's and or fumbles. Flacoo has been solid but i don't see him being very good on the road and no way they score more than 21.

Time for us to win a home game! Not getting much respect from Vegas as we're only giving 4 at home to the Ravens. Tough game against that Ravens defense but we're due for a home win and i think Indy has a bit too much firepower for Baltimore to hang. Huge game either way, hopefully we finally break out and shut up the naysayers for at least a week.

Dear Clubber, Will Colts fans be disappointed if they only win one Super Bowl with Manning? I'm not saying that's going to happen, but it would be, in my estimate, tremendously disappointing if they happens in the Manning Era. Thoughts?
I respect that you are sticking with your team, btw. *
* oops, just read that you gave up on them last week!

I can't speak for Colts fans since i don't live in Indy but i'm already dissapointed we only have 1 title and i put most of the blame on Tony Dungy. I think they can win 1 or 2 more but the window is definitly closing soon with Peyton aging and Marvin basically done.

I gave up on the game because i was so frustrated and sick of how poorly they played til the last 5 minutes. If i was watching at home i would have stuck with it but i just wanted to leave the bar at that point and my ride home was taking off anyway. 1-3 would have been awful but i wouldn't have counted them out for the season if they didn't pull off the miracle.
