the hardest part is trying to figure out who's worst. im kinda leaning toward selig
yup, the all suck IMO. I'll give Goodell an incomplete so far. He botched spygate from day 1...but he's in a tricky spot there in that he has to act in the best interests of the league....and not the best of interests of gossip hungry football fans. Let's see how he handles the upcoming labor negotiations.
Does UFC have a commish? If so, I nominate that guy as the best...or whoever runs NASCAR.

that's what I'm saying...give me a guy who's actually done something to grow his sport. Goodell and Tagliabue are/were sitting on the golden goose thanks to gambling, fantasy leagues etc. Stern pretty much rode on the wave of Magic, Bird, and Jordan's coattails for a while until ratings tanked.
At least Selig has managed to grow revenues for MLB teams...but he gets a huge F for how he handled the steroids era and the joke that was the Mitchell Report.

They are all bad but Selig is far and away the worst. At this point I think Stern is worse than Bettman for what he has allowed to happen to the league as far as poor officiating, game fixing, teams tanking, the salary structures, trade rules, age limit, etc.
Goodell is the best by default.

bettman has his share of fuck ups too, which also include poor/one sided officiating. i dont remember all the details, but i believe he prevented a canadian billionaire from buying the nashville predators b/c the guy wanted to move them from nashville to somewhere in onterio. on a related note, he thought nashville would be a good spot for a pro ice hockey team. next is puerto rico. he also seems to be against fighting and physical play, which is like being against the dunk in bball

zuffa owns UFC/pride. so i guess dana is commish in some ways.
1.selig(rod era) 2.stern-letting all these (C)rap being in the game 3.goddell-spygate 4.buttman-to many southern teams in the league 5. mike helton(nascar)
worst to good
i put buttman at 4 cause he really does care bout the game except teams that are in philly and in new york/new jersey
worst to good

Yeah, Jim Balsillie (the Blackberry guy) wanted to buy them for something like $30 million more than what they eventually sold for. That makes no sense. It would be a good thing for another team in the biggest hockey market on the planet (not just Canada, but Ontario specifically) and it's expecially big because he was willing to pay so much to get them.

Goodell. He fucked up spygate (which is fully overblown to begin with, and I hate the Pats) but overall is doing a great job keeping things in order. Stern. Has lost a lot of respect in the past 5-10yrs. Rode the star-power of the NBA at the time to even be considered so great. I've never really liked the man. Selig. Home runs will save baseball! Bettman. Nearly ruined professional hockey. I used to like the guy, but no more.
