I'm trying to win SB tickets by answering the questions from Mad Dog. Apparently they are doing it different this year. They ask the same 3 questions to everybody and then you get on the line with Mike and MD and if you get 2 more right you get the tix. Throughout the afternoon they give the 3 questions for the day. I know 2 of them but missed the 3rd question. The ones I caught were:

The 78' Steelers and Cowboys both lost to the same team in the regular season, who was that team?

What Super Bowl winning QB was born on Christmas?

I missed one of them. if any of you know the question please post it here ASAP.

check out this site:

the message board is pretty lame, but I believe they're going to try and keep a record of all the questions and answers this year.

I predict 90 percent of the callers are going to be NY area Steeler fans...

I hate this contest, its bad enough listening to fatso and fruitloops during regular time, but they do the contest non stop and Russo is so damn smug to the callers like he would know any of the answers if they werent in front of him

Well because of Stupid Maddog's comment about the Mets' GM only bringing in Latino players this week, Joe Beningo's show was about the race of ball players for most of the week. I like Joey B better than Mike and Dog just because he's a FAN doing a sports show rather than two over paid guys throwing out random stats for four hours.

I got through to the FAN today to try and win Super Bowl tickets. I got the first question right but missed the second. The 2nd was pretty hard actually, much harder than most 2nd questions that people were getting.

The question: The Giants and Ravens each lost to 2 of the same teams in the season they met in the super bowl. name them both.

I was gonna say Redskins but at the last 2nd changed my mind and went with the Eagles. The 2nd answer was the Titans and i was gonna say them next. I doubt i would have gotten the 4th question anyway but i was pissed that i got such a hard 2nd question. If i was by a computer i would have gotten it easily. Too bad i was driving around.

I did get a dig at Mad dog though. I said,"Hey Marquee, when you see Mad dog, tell him that Manning did it." Russo laughed and said it was a "good one". He hates Manning so i'm glad i got the dig in.

i heard him, i would have gotten his other 3 questions but no way would i have gotten Charlie Taylor as the 4th. I just wanted to get the 2nd one right(btw, i had to name BOTH teams they both lost to) so Mike could build it up and play the music and ask if i've ever been there etc... I get the first 3 right about 80% of the time. Thought i got a shitty 2nd question. I'm pretty damn good at football trivia, that particular question isn't exactly fair unless you're in front of a computer. I would have looked that shit up in 2 seconds(which i did right when i got home).

I think it's funny how every sports radio station seems to have a guy named 'Mad dog' on it

Being a flower delivery guy i listen to this station a lot and usually enjoy Mike and the Mad Dog although they bore the shit out me sometimes. They are unlistenable today, mostly due to the baseball trade banter that is just brutal considering the trades will never happen and that spring training just started. 40 minutes of talk about trading for Nady just isn't going to do it for me. Is there anything more annoying than fans or radio hosts talking about potential trades that WILL NEVER FUCKING HAPPEN?!?

I actually expect some baseball talk around this time of year but trade talk is brutal and pointless. It's bad enough i had to listen to Evan Roberts today cause ESPN1050 wasn't coming in clear for me. He just plain sucks and i can't handle the fact that a 24 year old is trying to tell me his opinion about certain sports history when he wasn't even born or coherent during most of recent sports history. No offense to the young-ins here but it's just hard for me to listen to somebody under 30 telling me about the 86 Mets.

it sucks that nobody has ever made a serious effort to compete with WFAN. I'm sorry 1050, but putting fucking Michael Kaye on isn't going to cut it.

Michael Kaye is the fucking worst! I can't listen to one minute of that banana head! Steven A Smith is annoying too. What's even worse is that i can't think of anybody else that might be better than Mike and Dog. It wouldn't be that hard either. Maybe we should make a demo tape Tubbs.

I hated the Boomer and Carton show when it started out, but Ive become a fan. it sucks that Imus has been reduced to what he is now. His show on 770 is terrible.
