i know it's only the preseason, but that jets game was pitiful, even by cleveland standards. on the last cleveland drive receivers were dropping balls left and right, only to have the jets hit with a penalty. so the browns get a fresh set of downs, only to have receivers have the ball touch their fingertips, and even begin to grasp the ball with those said fingers, only to have the ball fall away. four down comes and...the jets get hit with a pass interference penalty. so it's first and goal on the five and...surprise, surprise, the browns still are unable to score.

reminds me of a steelers/browns game from a few years ago where the browns had about 10 straight plays in the redzone (because of penalties) and still could not punch it in for the score.

also, it's only a matter of time before joe thomas breaks a leg or something due to the cleveland first round draft pick curse.

p.s. that banner that i saw hanging up during the jets game, "believeland"? epic fail. whoever thought up that gem needs to be shot.

okay, so the cubs are a good team because they won the world series in 1908? no.

They have 4 NFL titles and several more title game appearances. All of them before Pittsburgh even sniffed a title. To say they lack history based upon the last 40 years when their history dates back further is erroneous.

i don't care. i have no beef with raider nation. my team and the cleveland browns are bitter rivals. i wanted a place to talk about my amazement at the ineptitude of the browns in the replay of the game i saw today, but i couldn't find an offical browns thread. it didn't really belong in the NFL thread. so here we are. i'm not really trying to top anything.
