I have a feeling there aren't many golfers on the board, but let's try this:
I don't have a handicap yet.
I shot an 88 one time about 5 years ago, that's my best score for a full round. Haven't played in two years, until earlier this summer. So far this year I've gone 113, 108, 102, 101, and 99. Baby steps...baby steps.
I don't have a handicap either, but I usually shoot between 93-95. My best score is 87 which was three years ago when I was playing 3-4 times a week. There is a course near my house that I'm convinced if I became a member and played everyday I could shoot par.

Golfed a full round (non scramble) in a good 3-4 years a couple weeks ago. Shot a 115. Started off with a 11 on the first hole, hit 5 balls out of bounds which cost me the extra strokes. I player great through the middle then blew up with scores of 9-9-7-8 the last 4 holes (the last a par 3 that I hit a club short then duffed 4 straight chips in heavy rough). If I was on my game I would have hit in the 90's.
The only good news I took out of it is that I am money with my irons. I hit them so straight. I was at the point where I was using a 5 iron off the tee on even par 5's because I am guaranteed to hit it in the middle of the fairway. I also made 5 long puts, one that had to stop and make a left turn and roll down to the cup. Around the 16th hole I figured out why I hit my woods\driver so far right, I was standing too far away and was hitting it all the way on the most outer part of the face. I would aim 50 yards left of the fairway and still hit the ball 50 yards to the right of it. I moved in about 6 inches and crushed one of the best drives I have ever hit dead center of the fairway.

Been a couple years since I played, but I used to be about a bogey golfer. My best 18 is 84, my best nine is 41. I bet I could go out cold and break 100.

I don't play often enough to handicap myself but when I do golf, roughly 1/2 dozen times a year, I'll generally shoot 100-110 range. My best ever was a 93.

I'm consistantly in the 90's and have been that way for about 12 years. I shot my best 9 ever 2 months ago(a 41) but have never shot under an 85 in any 18 holes.

does anyone find it better for there to be a shitload of people watching you?
depends if i've had a couple of beers in me or not. What really kills me is if there is a backlog on the course. The other day i opened up birdie, par, par and then got jammed on the 4th hole. It changed my whole round and pissed me off to no end. I hit up on the group ahead of us and almost hit some guy. He stomped my ball to the ground and we started yelling at each other. It didn't escalate cause i really didn't want to start throwing punches on a golf course.

if its just the guys im golfing with, ill probably hit a worm abomb
if its other players i dont know, ill usually hit 260 right down the middle. many moons ago when i worked on a course and could play for free after 5pm, i was going along, bogey bogey bogey par when two guys waved me through. since i was considered "help" i declined, but they insisted.
i had seen them around before but didnt know who they were. i tee'd up , took my time and crushed a monster 280-290 yard drive, left side of the fairway to give myself a decent shot of putting for eagle. these guys were like holy shit, you fucking crushed it. i birdied the hole and i think i finished with a 40 on the front 9 (mind you this was a country club, not a open to the public course)
turns out the two guys were the club president and the reigning champ and told the lady who worked at the halfway house how much of a monster i was off the tee

My best round ever was a 70, but 70 may have been 3 or 4 over par for that course that day (the tees were up). I shot a 75 from the tips at The Raven at South Mountain (a fairly difficult course, but I also worked there so familiarity was a factor.) I worked at a place called Talking Stick and birdied the first three holes (and five of the first six) but only managed an 86 (the back nine of the North course is tough). I played two Fridays ago at a local nine-hole dog track and strung together five straight pars...mostly because I can still putt like Hell.
From my experience, three strangers is the same as three hundred strangers when you're on the tee; you're either used to it or you're not.
