Thought it needed its own thread and not to clutter the NHL thread.

Good to see my motherland win 8-1 last night. Tavares is a beast.

yeah really. Looking at a score like that makes me cringe. The worst part is they didn't even seem to be really trying in the last period and still managed to pit 5 goals.

Kazahkstan doesn't REALLY belong in the tournament... they're just kind of the team that fills that last spot and gets beat up on, I guess.

Well Canada totally destroyed Germany tonight. Germany's goalie got Player of the Game honours by stopping 47 shots but he let 5 go by.

Canada is still undefeated.

USA plays KAZ tonight, hopefully they keep KAZ scoreless like Germany and Canada has.

KAZ is GF 0 : GA 24.

I don't want USA to give up a goal to KAZ

If/when Canada wins, this will be the 5th year straight, no?

Does McCollum know he's supposed to be keeping the puck out of the net? The first two Slovakia goals were awful.

I was thinking today about how sick Canada's team would be if they had Stamkos, Doughty, Schenn, Bailey, Gillies, Turris and I'm sure I forgot a couple others.

Awesome game vs the US. I'd love to see a rematch for Gold.

You might not see it because McCollum is a joke.

It doesn't help Slovakia's goalie is playing the game of his life.
