Yankee fans looked confused last night. Not heart broken, not sad, just like they had never gone through a loss.

This is one of those that I'm gonna have to remember where I was when I tell my grandkids about this one.

It truly was unprecedented territory for Yankee fans...losing to the Red Sox in the LCS, and in a total collapse. Sad. But it's easier for Yankee fans to swallow (at least for me) because we have so many great memories to look back on. And I'm an old timer, so my good memories go back to the '77 and '78 championships.

Unlike typical NY fans, I have no hatred for Boston or the fans. Why would I waste the mental energy...in the end it's only a game. I'll actually be rooting for them in the world series, although I won't be staying up late to watch games.

It's refreshing to hear something like that coming from a fan of either team.

I was there and stayed to the end. it was the the strangest thing I have ever seen at the Stadium, as Yankee fans left and the Redsox fans creeped down closer and closer to the field.

The better team won no doubt but there is no way I would root for Boston in the World Series.

I remeber the '77 and '78 losses as well as the loss to the Dodgers in the '81 series. If you have been a fan for a while it has not always been roses.

I admit that I'm an a-typical fan, but I feel like it makes the Yankees look better if the team that beat them goes on to win the world series. Especially if it's a team from their own division... it demonstrates the strength of that division.

I understand that and but there are certain teams (The Dolphins included) that I simply can not root for. Besides my boss is from Boston and I have to go to our Boston office about once a month. These guys will bury me every chance they get. I can live with Boston beating the Yankees, even the way they did it. But if they don't win the Series it will make me feel a little better about 2004.

yea, i've said this before and i'll say this again: i can't say i like the red sox, but i share no hatred for their fans. i just don't like obnoxious fans, and every team has them. they could be from minnesota for all i care. i wouldn't like them.

I was at Game 6 in 1981 when the Yankees lost the Series, and the game 11-1. I bet the feel at the Stadium was similar last night as the Red Sox handed the Yanks a big plate of ass. Shock, and disbelief. It's one thing to lose, another to lose at home, another to blow a 3-0 game lead, and yet another to get completely blown out in the final game.

I agree with Quint, the Red Sox were clearly the better team in this series. It is just so shcoking that both the Yankees and the Red Sox had two completely different teams show up in the first and second halves of this series.
