Since this is true for 30 of the teams, might as well transition off from 2008.
To say something meaningful in here, and I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Julius Peppers is an idiot if he wants to go to a team that uses the 3-4.

this is the year of the coaching change, more new head coaches for teams than any other year (12 i think). lot's of first time HC's, and consequentially after tomlin/wisenhunt win the super bowl only 3 coaches will have won a SB before. Belichick (3), Coughlin (1) and one of the aforementioned coaches.
Also, I think 2 more teams are switching to the 3-4 (GB & Denver), so even more teams are going to be looking for the same things this year.

If they could go ahead and cut Derrick Brooks and Ronde Barber... that'd be nice.
The stadium looks nice, what kind of surface are they using Parchy?
i am SO happy that gruden is gone, not so much monte, but if they can stay defensive minded but maybe get some new schemes then that may be really good. so im all around excited for the bucs 09 season, even though it will probably be a bit more of a rebuilding season, a new direction will be exciting

I'm glad they went with Raheem Morris. After Gruden was fired I had a feeling they already knew who they were going to name as the head coach and that could only be one guy. I think the Glazer's are still pretty bitter about letting Tomlin go and wanted to make sure they were going to keep the last good coach they had that worked under Monte.

Makes sense. Gruden seems like he might be a hard guy to be around for any length of time.
Maybe with Kiffin gone they just decided to make the change. A lot of the roster is getting older and with the young talent like Piscatelli and Jackson etc... it's a good time for a fresh voice probably. You just have to understand as a Falcons fan.... man I'm going to celebrate the day when Derrick Brooks retires. He's fantastic, but he has killed the Falcons over the years.

So "May the Schwartz Be With You" hires Gunther Cunningham as the Lions' defensive coordinator and assistant coach. I like the move, despite KC's pitiful defensive rank last year.

Hahaha. Yeah, you have a point on Brooks and the Falcons. It's a bit unreal how well he has played against your team.

That's better than the Lions' previous D-Coordinator, who got caught driving through a Taco Bell drive thru at 2 in the morning in suburban Detroit naked. You gotta love this franchise.
