Any fellow RMers going to be watching this in the summer?

Not sure what chance the Lions really have at the minute and there seem to be some real errors in the squad. 2 specialist fly halves and full backs?! Shanklin and Flannery will be hugely missed. Though not Quinlan the gouger.

Head says Boks 2-1, Heart says Lions 2-1 with Leigh Halfpenny kicking the winning points.

It is not the British Lions it is the British and Irish Lions so I think you need to change the thread title.

Considering most of the squad are Irish...

But as usual every media outlet esp in England will insult the Irish nation and refer to them as being British.

I'd dearly love to see a foot race between Habana and Monye.

I'd also dearly love to see the Saffas taking this 3-zip.

The Saffas are the best rugby nation in the world at the moment, they have some amazing talent. No more so than their No.8 Pierre Spies, who is about 6 foot 4, 105kgs and runs as fast as most wingers.

SA 3-0 and by comfortable margins, playing attacking rugby while the Lions look to kick the crap out of it.

I think the Saffies will take it. McGeechan is going to look to go for strength and go for an extremely powerful pack and take out some finesse. He would probably go for a back row of Heaslip, Wallace and Croft, who is a bloody impressive player.

Tommy Bowe and Jamie Roberts played themselves into the test squad tonight.

Hinny, it would be a bloody good race and I think it would be taken by Habana. Monye is fast and can take his tries well, is probably the worst winger in the Lions due to his defensive shortcomings and consistent brainfarts on the pitch.

I just love the Southern hemispheres take on Northern rugby. Hilarious stuff.

Why is it hilarious and why is it wrong - if you suggest it is, which i'm picking you do? I lived in the UK for two years and I went to Premiership games - I'm basing any opinion I have on fact.

I can hardly criticize the kick-minded approach because it won England a World Cup in 2003 and NZ can't get close. But the Premiership is dull. The Super 14 isn't much better but I cannot watch the Premiership full stop.

And when all that gets sent our way in our winter is the dross we got from England last year and France C, what else can we base it on?

Just to put my two cents in. 'Boks should consider themselves fucking lucky. They outplayed Lions for one half of the whole series (first half, first test). Other than that, it was all Lions. Welsh front row sorted us out.

O'Driscoll and Roberts were fucking fantastic.

Regarding Muck's comments above about the name...it should really have been called IRISH, WELSH, and English Lions, with the Scots just watching.

Especially considering post series, we can see that Lions played beautiful attacking rugby, and 'Boks were a disgrace to the game. Eye gouging part of the game apparently.

I understand roughly 13% of the words being used in this thread.

I was trawling through the threads and saw one called

'How well do you know the 4 major N.A. sports leagues?'

You don't want to know how little I know, so I went to hide in here.

Yes. Canada are ranked 13th in the world, USA 18th.

i decided to try and educate myself a little so I post in the myriad of baseball, ice hockey....threads to learn a little more about those sports. I usually fall back to the EPL thread for safety.
