i dont remember seeing one of these, so i figured id start one since i find myself in a jam right now.

i won my league last year and we are making it a keeper league, so now i need to decide who to keep: maurice jones drew or deangelo williams. williams pretty much won me the title last year, but what ive read has jones drew ranked a little higher. should i be loyal to williams or look ahead and predict jones drew will do better?

First of all, I can safely say to you to NOT draft the Denver defense just because it contains Dawkins now. ;)

Anyway, the only thing I have to add is that Fred Taylor's now gone from the Jags, so MJD may have more carries. On the other hand, the Panthers also have Jonathan Stewart, who might steal carries from DeAngelo. I'm not making a suggestion either way, but it's something to keep in mind.

I take MJD every year (in fact, it's a running joke in our league), and every year he's the most frustrating player on my team -- 1 game he gets 30 points, the next 3 games he gets 2, followed by 2 straight games of 25, followed by 5 straight games of 1 point. I can't take it anymore.

I've kept MJD on my team the last three years waiting for his breakout. THIS is the year. Pocket Hercules is gonna tear shit up.

this is what makes it so hard. we've all been waiting for MJD to do what michael turner did last year, and i'm afraid to miss it. but he's always been inconsistant. deangelo carried my team last year, but is he really score 20 td's again splitting time?

MJD is going to get more carries this year for sure. I have no idea if he's still returning punts/kickoffs but if he is it seems like a no brainer to me.

Definite toss-up then, I'd go with who you think has the easier schedule and will be playing with a lead more often.

Keep Slaton. Work a trade for LT and get a 1st round draft pick.

Slaton is the keeper. You might be able to get LDT in the 2nd round of your draft. LDT is still a good back but Slaton is a better keeper at this point in his career. He's perfect in thier zone blocking scheme.

Keep in mind the Jaguars first two picks in the draft were offensive tackles.

Yeah, the Jags' O-line was just decimated with injuries last year, so that might have been a reason why MJD's numbers were down, as well.
