With all of this talk of bad commentators and play by play guys on TV right now, who are some of your favorites? I am still young so I don't know too much about some of the older greats but here is my top 5...

5: Dan Patrick
4: Bob Costas
3: Marv Albert
2: Al Michaels
1: Pat Summerall

i like Dan Shulman for college basketball
for football i like troy, goose and whoever else they usually team troy up with
vern lundquist comes to mind
for a homer pick, i realy like mike lange for the pens, he calls goals equally as exciting for either team, but his catch phrases for the pens are funny

I agree. His knowledge of the game and ability to see all parts of the field is unbelievable.

Collinsworth is good, it's just the fact he comes across as a ginormous tool that keeps me from really liking him.

Joe Buck is awful. He announces football like he's announcing a baseball game. He called the helmet catch like he couldn't have cared less.
