Bills' safety Donte Whitner was charged with aggravated disorderly conduct and resisting arrest during an incident outside of the House of Blues in Cleveland early Saturday morning after police tried to break up a "near riot".
Police were forced to subdue Whitner with a taser before placing him under arrest for aggravated disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was released from custody earlier this afternoon but has not yet been charged with anything.
"Whitner began swinging his arms in a violent manner and, when restrained by officers, he broke free and took a fighting stance," the Cleveland Police statement read. "An officer then deployed his Taser on Whitner, debilitating him enough that officers were able to place him in handcuffs."
Whitner talked to WOIO-TV after his released and claims that he is considering filing his own lawsuit against the Cleveland police. The Bills' safety claims
The Bills released a brief statement on the incident stating they are aware of the arrest and are still gathering information.

I'm not sure why fans are so pissed at losing a Thursday night game. "Oh no, I won't be horribly hung over and exhausted the next day at work! What will I do?!!!"

most people don't get NFLN, I think. I am sure there will be a local broadcast anyway.

Home markets ALWAYS get the games on broadcast TV unless there's an attendance blackout, regardless of the network. They'll broadcast it on CBS.

I think they might raise the stakes to a whole new level this season. Thus, the new thread. By week 4, it will probably be retitled, "***The Official Please Send Me to a Federal Prison to be Raped in the Shower Because It Would Be More Enjoyable Than Watching the 2009 Buffalo Bills Thread***".
