OK so Mora gets canned from the Seahawks today. Hate to say, saw that coming a mile away. Here's the issue though...

The Seahawks are openly targeting Pete Carroll.

Soooo..... is the following plausible?

- Carroll leaves USC to coach the Seahawks.

- Sarkisian leaves UW to coach USC.

- Mora takes the open job at UW.

not saying that that's implausible. just funny.

So...some other options for a new SC coach, assuming Carroll comes to the Seahawks:

I am hearing Mike Reilly from Oregon State.



If the Hawks don't go w/ Carroll:

- Cowher?
- Gruden?

Carroll can't coach in the NFL

Gruden isnt coming back next season.

adam schefter mentioned that USC approached Jeff Fisher back in 2001 before talking to & hiring Carroll.

Lane Kiffin. Didn't see that coming. He's gonna have a great staff, granted, but as an avid USC hater my first reaction is that I like this hire.

Completely agree. I know he'll have a lot more talent at USC than he did this year at UT (and possibly before that with the Raiders), but I watched a couple UT games this year, including that brutally ugly UCLA game ... after this year and now with this hire, USC just isn't scary anymore
