Man, Steve Nash was just ejected for questioning a ref. He didn't even have a technical yet. Why the heck are the refs allowed to get away with this crap? The NBA is tainted because refs are allowed to make the worst, most lopsided calls, and anybody who criticizes them is ejected and/or fined. They seriously suck bad.

I used to hate all refs until the refs in the Red Sox-Yanks series got the A-Rod slap call right and then got that HR call that Bellhorn hit off that dude with the hoodie right... I don't like either team but those were some good damn calls

so then unless they had a huge lead before he was ejected then they will probably loose another
Actually, they were down by 8 with 3 minutes left... The crucial moment when, if they don't start a comeback, they're done. And that's exactly what happened.
I guess the real shame in this is that Memphis' victory was compromised. They got hot in the 4th, and pulled through with a little help from the ref. They've been spectacular in the last month or two, but it's a shame for them that they can't get a 100% legit victory over Phoenix for one reason or another.

how is this not a legit victory. theres going to be no * next to their win column cause of it. the other guys on the team need to learn to play with out steve. the fact that they cant shows just how good of a team they are

I just said it's not 100% legit. It is a figurative * next to the win column. I'm not saying they didn't play a great game and that they didn't earn a victory, but when that sort of thing happens, it has an effect on the rest of the players, regardless of whether the other players are capable of playing without him or not. It takes a few minutes to adjust to that, and they didn't have a few minutes.
I'm not saying they wouldn't have won anyways, but it is just a bummer (for Memphis) that the winning shot came from the refs. When a game is put away, it should generally be by a key shot or run, not by a questionable call by the ref.

I agree, NBA refs suck. Heck, all refs no matter what sport, stink.
It's a shame that Nash was ejected, but I am glad that the Suns lost. They are the #1 team, therefore they are evil.

well, with the current state of sports...do you disagree that refs should not kick out a player for being in any way belligerent? i didn't see the game, but he must have done something, anything, that would goad the ref into booting him

dont get confused. spurs are the number one team and therefore they are evil
My bad. Yah the Spurs are double evil, since they beat the Sonics last game.

I don't think that the refs should toss someone out for bad language. Now if it was a derogatory (sp?) remark, then yes the player should be booted.
I agree, he must have said something really awful in order to get an early exit.

refs need to understand that sometimes in the heat of a game players are going to lose their tempers. nba refs are too "T" happy
yeah i know, i understand this...but, refs now are thinking, is this guy gonna go stephen jackson on me? i'd like to think the players learned their lesson after the brawl...but this league is SO YOUNG and SO IMMATURE...for a vet like nash, i'm surprised he got booted, but these young guys...you never know what you're going to get
You should see the assclown refs they have at high school games.
before a scrimmage i had in high school the two refs who were doing the game were completely naked on the couch in our locker room when I walked in before the game. Our entire team was standing in shock.
