really? so these players who probably couldnt pass a 9th grade math class all of a sudden can diagnose patients by watching them on their televisions? REALLY?

Cutler was looked at by the medical staff at halftime, went out and tested it before the 3rd quarter, played one series and then determined something wasnt right. his team pulled him out. the docotrs who actually were there in person, not on the couch being morons

i dont care if they could pass math or not, they know first hand what its like to play through an injury in the nfl, so them questioning him as some validity.

To be clear, I'm just enjoying the guy getting sh*t on. He played an entire year with undiagnosed diabetes, losing 30 lbs and no small amount of strength. He got banged up pretty good this year and was resilient. I'm sure he's physically tough. If he was legitimately injured, he shouldn't have been out there.

But he's also an overrated, selfish twat who has never shown any mental toughness. He's never not folded when it counts, and there are legitimate questions surrounding the circumstances of his exit yesterday. Would Tim Tebow have left that game? And if he had, would he have pouted on the sidelines and not helped his teammates afterwards? Be upset about having to leave the game Sunday night and into the next week; reserve the hours immediately following the injury to being the best teammate you can and help the third-string QB or the coaches or the trainer or somebody. All tools, no toolbox this guy.

Basically, he is what we thought he was.

What other players sitting on their couches say means nothing. They aren't there. They aren't the doctor. They have absolutely no inside information. All they can do is say "if that was me no injury would have made me not play that game." Which is fine, but they have no way to know how seriously he was actually injured anyway.

thodoks' post is pretty much right on though. Culter didn't do himself any favors by everything that happened after the injury.

Maybe he was mildly hurt and the coaches decided to pull him based on how he was playing? Whatever did happen though I don't honestly think that he feigned or exaggerated injury to get out of the biggest game of his life. I just don't buy that.

i think so, and i thought he said after the game the issue was w/ planting his foot.

i think the what looked the worst was when he was riding the bike. ive never injured my knee, but id think you wouldnt wanna do that, regardless if it was the mcl or acl.

you think these players are human xray machines?

heres the bottom line: if this were ANY other player than Jay Cutler, none of them would say a fucking word

a guy i worked with says he has a messed up acl and can not go side to side but can ride a bike. so the fact that he was trying to ride a bike with a torn mcl (if what my coworker says is true) out to stomp out the hes a pussy who cant tolerate pain.

i dunno, im just of the mindset when it comes to sports that you need all the information first before shooting yourself in the foot

An observation which begs the question: Why doesn't Jay Cutler garner the same level of respect of the other one-thousand, six-hundred and ninety-five NFL players?

That's what I found interesting about the comments. Not the speculation, because we know they don't really have any more insider info than anyone else sitting on their couch. But players usually are pretty protective of each other. To see players calling him out says a lot about how he's viewed, even by other players.

Is the MCL also what allows you to talk to your teammates?

Cutler throws off of his back foot a lot, so I don't care if it affects your plant foot for not.

Different ligaments affect different abilities to do things with your legs. In high school I sprained (strained?) my MCL and was still able to walk, and do "straight ahead" motions without much pain. But any turn or pivot i lost all stability in the knee and it would cause intense pain. Riding a bike is pretty low impact, and very straight ahead.

Pretty simple,

1) They see a guy that hasn't won anything getting paid $20 mill, jealousy. (BTW, didn't Jones-Drew sit out the last two games when his team was in a playoff race? What a joke)

2) He looks like an asshole.

Just don't understand why people care what his facial expressions are or what his body languange is. Just make the throws and people won't care about crap that doesn't matter. His footwork issues are fair. He needs to work on that.
