it really bugs me that Yale made it in and Union didn't, but this is by far the best season in the school's history.

Let's go Pioneers! Hopefully losing in the semis of the WCHA tourney is a well-time wake-up call.

Alabama - Huntsville has a D1 hockey team? I had no idea. I'm sure it would be an enormous upset, but I hope they beat Miami.

Yale has been a top 10 team the entire season. I'm pretty sure at one point they were #2 or #3 in the country.

at one point union was very high too, not to mention they've been ranked right there w/ all these teams all year and finished better than Yale in the ECAC tourny.

look, i knew it was a long shot, but that doesn't mean it can't 'bug me.'

If this year's frozen four is as good as last year's, I will end up in my dorm's hallway with only my boxers on running around at 3 in the afternoon hahahahahaha

does anyone know where the video is for that game tying goal with like .1 seconds left?

Here is why I was in only my boxers running around my dorm, for the game tying goal:

Not NCAA related, but this happened at the ACHA D2 National Championships (ACHA is club level)

Quote:
Colorado Hockey Player Arrested In Simsbury; Allegedly Assaulted Referee
The Hartford Courant

7:48 a.m. EDT, March 25, 2010

SIMSBURY - A college hockey player from Colorado is to be arraigned April 1 on charges that he slammed a referee into the boards during a hockey tournament at the International Skating Center of Connecticut.

Andrew J. Hau, 24, of Fort Collins, was charged March 19 with disorderly conduct. Simsbury police Capt. Matthew Catania said Hau was charged after the referee complained to police that Hau took a running start at him, lowered a shoulder and slammed him into the boards. The referee told police he was not injured. The referee had ejected Hau from a game earlier.

Hau plays for the club hockey team at Colorado State University. The team was in Simsbury participating in a tournament. Hau disputed the referee's claim in a story published in The Rocky Mountain Collegian.

"I made a mistake and I realize that, but it's getting blown out of proportion," Hau told the newspaper this week. "The police report was wrong, it was after the game, and I approached the ref and barely bumped him with my shoulder."

Hau is due in Superior Court in Enfield April 1 for arraignment.

Sadly, hockey's now the only sport that can redeem the sports program of my alma mater.
