I am hoping the Nittany Lions are fun to watch this season. It was a blast last year. I hope they can keep it up, both women's and men's. The girls got some big time recruits, and they've been down recently.
NOTE: Historically, Penn State winning the NIT is huge. Comparable to landing llamas on Mars. Hopefully they can get into the NCAAs this year.
Joesanity, what are they predicting in Columbus? I am hoping for a fun Big Ten season as well.

Ohio State at least in the conference's top five. The only loss was Mullens which means there isn't a ton of size on the team, but they're great on the wing. PG is still iffy.
I don't know enough about teams like Iowa, Minnesota, or Penn State to make any real predictions for this season. I'd really like to see Northwestern do pretty well and finally make the tournament.

Looking forward to an interesting Villanova season for myself. We're pretty inexperienced so we'll end up dropping some we shouldn't but I hope to see some type of maturation process throughout the year, especially once Big East play starts.

that loss to a d2 team is being overplayed. yeah its a nice story for the hometown small fries, but lets be realistic, cuse will still reach 20 wins this year and will probably be a tourney team again.
i got into this argument with an acc fan and ended up agreeing with him that the big 12 needs another consistent power, preferably two, to rival the best leagues in the country. im not sure if it will stay this way but it has passed the big 10 as the third best behind the big east and the acc, but there isn't much heavyweight meat behind the jayhawks. mizzou was a nice story last year but they can't keep that up yearly. texas could be that this year but they are young and i have no confidence in pittman to be the man down low, and damion james has no idea what his game is anymore. i think barnes is going to push him out to the wing again this season but its anyone's guess if he can reconfigure his game for a third time. he's an incredible athlete but he's never seemed 'right' to me. they'll finally have a real PG so that will help, but the timing is off because they really needed it last year with abrams still there. one of the reasons balbay even looked that good because aj was garbage at the 1. im not sure they're going to be this massive juggernaut this year, and a no. 3 preseason ranking by some pubs is way overselling it. plus, barnes' postseason record isn't exactly the best - hell, Baylor beat UT in the big 12 tourney last year when we were still figuring out what the hell we were doing.
also, is anyone else getting sick of the sense of entitlement some of these jagoffs have? i'd really love for someone to chart the number of transfers we've had over the last few years because its astronomical. to the point of absurdity, really.

you guys had a solid team last year. i thought we had the best backcourt in the NIT, which got us past g'town, VT and auburn, but you guys out-guarded us in the final, if thats even a word. we're kind of a feast/famine team and you guys helped us toward the famine end of the deal. im still kinda bitter about it though, we coulda used that.
