You guys have one of the top young pitchers in the national league, and probably the best young positional player in the game.
Patience.
this is what gets me excited im kinda used to finding enjoyable things in my teams even though they are losing alot by being a fan of the TB Bucs, so even with a lot of people picking the braves to be the wild card team this year, i had no big hopes, just excited to see heyward and hanson, and im definitely not dissapointed

Hanson was freaking awesome last night. Hell they played entertaining baseball last night. Finally got a few breaks on errors; tried a squeeze, sent McCann home... sure he was out but the point is they tried. They ground out some runs and then Sparky hit that bomb.
All around a great night of baseball for a change.

Another pretty good night
though Hudson makes me so nervous some times when he is pitching, last night he gave up 6 hits and walked 6 in 6 innings, if he keeps doing that he will be having nights where he gives up 8 runs instead of just 1
but almost everyone was hitting well last night

That's what I think when I watch someone like Dice K or Papelbon pitch.

Haha, barely. I was fucking livid when the bullpen blew that 4 run lead late. Poor Kenshin Kawakami can't catch a break.
nope, he pitches pretty well for a #4 or 5 starter, he does give up runs usually, but doesnt look terrible doing so( atleast the 2 times ive been able to see him) .

Best 0-6 pitcher in the league.

Wow. That may have been the most exciting in-person sports moment I have ever seen. When Hanson got pulled and the Braves were down 8-0 I got a beer & took off my shirt figuring I would at least enjoy a perfect afternoon in the sun and get some color. Long about the 6th or 7th inning I moved around towards the left field stands. Going into the bottom of the 9th the bullpen had kept the Reds in check but the Braves were down 9-3. I nearly left but I figured I would stay and see what Glaus & Heinske would do since both have been hitting well lately. They both singled, at which point I thought I would stay until the first two outs. Yunel hit a single to load the bases. Those that had stayed were starting to stand and cheer. McLouth (now over the Mendoza line) singled and suddenly it was 9-5 with still nobody out. Martin Prado, one of the best hitters on the came up. I flipped my cap inside and started to believe Atlanta could pull it off. Prado grounded to third what should have been a douple play ball but the thirdbaseman couldn't field it cleanly and didn't even get a throw off. Yunel scored, bases still loaded, 9-6. Jason Heyworth at bat. Could the JHey Kid be the hero again? No, he struck out. Brook Conrad pinch hit next. I forget the count, maybe 2-2, and he launches one towards my section. I don't think its got enough, in my mind I'm thinking deep out or double off the wall at best. It's right below me; due to the angle I can't see the play itself but suddenly the stadium erupts. The ball tipped off the outfielder's glove over the fence. Grand slam, Braves win 10-9 with seven runs in the 9th. I start jumping up and down, giving high fives to strangers while getting back slaps from others. Talk about a sports based adrenaline rush. It was practically orgasmic. When I see the replay on highlights tonigh I'm going to look for myself on the homerun shot; I was that close to where he hit it.

After seeing the replay I did find me in the crowd but even in HD I wasn't close enough to the ball to be recognized. It'll never happen but yes, I would like to see Chipper sit a few games.

I think I saw you because there was only a handful of people in the shot and it looked like you were about 12 rows or so up from where the ball was hit. Also, it should be noted that I usually make fun of dudes who take their shirts off at baseball games.

That was me. Yeah, I'm one of those guys who'll do that at a ballgame or concert but I'm hardly a meathead stereotype. Those guys annoy me too. Now that I'm on the other side of 30 I'm not as quick to shed the shirt either. I remember Skip's line about the daughters. I picked up on his "caught by a fan from _____" bit early on but it took me a good while to realize that when he would refer to cute twins in section whatever it was a cleavage reference. I do miss him & Pete. Speaking of announcers I really enjoy Smoltz when he's been in the both. I'm surprised how good he is and can see him get some national attention down the road.
