Predictions, concerns, thoughts............
Lebron - Cleveland Bosh - Chicago Wade - Miami Amare - Miami Boozer - New York Johnson - New York
I bet Johnson stays in Atlanta and the Knicks overpay for Rudy Gay which would be hilarious.
Really? From all accounts i've heard Atlanta is ready to move on without Johnson. That being said, Johnson and Gay are not max guys IMO.
Where do these reports eminate form? Atlanta has no one to replace him with. If Joe goes to NY they had better be finding 2 guards to replace him with. I don't know that they want to give him nor is he worth a max deal... but they are kind of over a barrel at this point.

I'm under the assumption that he will get a a max, and i've read that Atlanta has no interest in giving him a max.

True. I think he's going to get one from NYC too. He's just good enough that Atlanta will probably fall to a 7 or 8th seed next year.

Millsap's per season salary is actually lower, but the offer sheet he originally signed with Portland included a $5.6 million signing bonus, which is paid up front but gets distributed over the life of the deal for cap purposes. That payout actually called for $10.3 million to be paid within seven days of signing the contract, but $4.7 million of it was from the first-year salary.
# Gaines: Signed to 10-day contract on 1/5/10; he was signed to a second 10-day contract on 1/15/10; signed for the rest of the season on 1/25/10.
Othyus Jeffers signed a 10-day contract on 3/4/10 and a second on 3/14/10. Signed for rest of the season on 3/24/10.
Qualifying offers do not count towards the total team salary for that season and are informational only.

As a Pacers fan it is so embarrassing to see that Larry Bird cleared all of this cap room for the 2010 off season 5 years ago to sign a big name free agent and the Pacers wont be able to land any of them. "Bye-bye birdie."

Their 2010 plan is easy.
1) Draft White Guy in first round.
2) Sign late 20's-early 30's veteran with our entire MLE, use them as a role player.
3) Talk about how Murphy and Dunleavy will get more minutes next year,
4) Try and trade Brandon Rush for one of Kyle Korver or Jason Kapono
5) Win 30 games next year again so they don't make the playoffs, but don't get a good lottery pick,
6) Then resign GM Larry Bird and Jim O'Brien for six more years, then move to Canada.
They're right on track it seems.

This is all more likely than anything. Maybe they will draft me this year. I am a white guy from Indiana.
