Who's Going to win....

Bobby Abreu
Jason Bay
A. Jones
Carlos Lee
David Ortiz
Ivan Rodriquez
Mark Teixeira
H.S. Choi

Besides the obvious answer of 'who cares'...I am going with Big Papi.

Ortiz. Well, I think Ortiz would only win if a Yankee pitcher was throwing to him, because he apparently owns the yanks.

Maybe Randy Johnson should start throwing Honey Baked Hams....

It worked on Mo Vaughn.

I'll be rooting for Abreu but I'll go out on a limb and say Bay wins.

Ichiro? Now they are just being silly. I understand what they are trying to do, having the multi cultural country thing, but it doesnt make for good TV. They should really make it like a $5 Million prize for the guy who wins, and im sure you would get the big hitters to do it each year. How are people like Manny Ramirez, A-Rod, Sheffield and Tejada not involved? Its just like the slam dunk competition for the NBA all star game, the big names wont do it for some silly little trophy. If you put a big cash prize for the winner, you will get the big names back into it. Oh, and allowing them to take performance enhancing drugs would help too.

Yeah, that's right...Does this make the Derby more watchable? No way. I think they just went this route so that they had some sort of excuse that nobody wants to do it anymore. I'm still going to watch though, because lets be honest, what the hell else am I going to do?

The new format is just idiotic. Not as bad as the NBA's 2-ball experiment, though.

From what I understand (please someone correct me if I'm wrong), but during batting practice, Ichiro just swings for the fence. And I heard he does a great job of getting balls out of the park.

Yep. Ichiro rakes them out to right during BP. He has power, but that's not his game.

I've read the same thing. Apparently, Boggs used to do the same thing in batting practice as well.
