Now I can talk to myself here all day!

Last week the Texans signed Rex Grossman (one year $620,000) who is probably the only backup quarterback in the NFL who turns the ball over more than Sage Rosenfels, our last backup. LOL.

Also, ticket pairs went on sale recently but I haven't bought them yet because there is a good chance I'll be moving to the Dallas area soon. Although now that I think about it, even though Dallas to Austin and Austin to Houston are both 3ish hour trips, Dallas to Houston is only around 4 I believe.

Jeff Bagwell is my favorite baseball player and I have absolutely nothing to support that. I don't care about baseball.

Kyle Shanahan is taking over playcalling duties this year so Kubes should actually be able to coach for once. Many people attribute a lot of the mistakes he has made in the previous years to the fact that he couldn't really be a great coach when he was absorbed with offensive playcalling.

I'm still strongly in the pro-Kubes camp but we need to either make the playoffs or win 10 games this year (we could easily win 10 and miss the playoffs) for me to stay in that camp.

For what it's worth, I think the Texans will go 10-6 this year. Last year we were a handful of Rosenfuckups away from 10-6. If Matt Schaub stays healthy, which seems much more likely now that Haynesworth isn't here to take illegal shots at him, and also assuming other assholes like Jared Allen don't take illegal shots, it should be well within our grasp.

If the Texans don't make the playoffs, I'm predicting that Kubes will get the boot, and he'll be the O-coordinator of whatever team hires Shanny.

What if they go 11-5 and miss the playoffs? Not too difficult to imagine.

Isn't this the guy who beat out Orton on the Bears, (who is allegedly a serviceable) quarterback and is now 3rd string? :haha: :haha: Orton couldn't even beat him out?? :shake:

The drive from Dallas to Houston is the longest 4(+) hours ever.

I think the Texans will win 9-10 games this year.

I'll talk to myself here instead of the NFL thread!

I'm so excited about our LB depth this year. Diles, Adibi, and Cato June will all be competing for the Will spot with Diles also a very strong backup to DeMeco at right. Cushing has apparently been performing better than many people expected in coverage drills. Plus we've got a nasty Chaun Thompson backing up Cushing at SOLB. It feels like our depth problems in the front 7 are a thing of the past...

Coming Next Week in Bhed's new series of "most nondescript franchises in professional sports is the NHL's Florida Panthers. And In two weeks get ready for in depth discussion of the Kansas City Royals.

lol

I'm pretty happy with the Texans, I wouldn't want them to get media coverage like the Cowboys or the Steelers or the Patriots do.
