I am dead jealous about Özil signing for them. What a brilliant player. Was by far the best Real player last Saturday in their poor 1-0 win.

It's just cruel how he makes football seem so simple. Cruel but absolutely gorgeous.

the 5th goal was nice too
it's amazing how many opportunities they waste though, I wish they'd stop trying to dribble past the keeper once in a while

4-1. Job done. We were a bit lucky with the penalties but fuck it. You make your own luck at this level. My only worry is Vdv getting banned for the the Inter away game. Fantastic atmosphere to tonight. I love going to Spurs for those big European nights.

COYS!!!!!

I've got such a man crush on Gareth Bale btw.

You should have had a least 1 penalty less. Twente should have had a penalty for the Crouch handball that was much clearer than theirs. At least one more of you should have been sent off (Huddlestone clear elbow hit?). It totally overshadowed the game for me.

*waits for comment about how it's for once not United having all the favourable decisions*

*waits for other comment about how I cannot have been watching this game as both Barça, United and my other 7 favourite teams were playing*

*waits for Bale to be the next Spurs->United transfer*

*love you all*

I think I'd probably enjoy fucking Gareth Bale.

How predictable is a Real Madrid - Inter tie in the next round?

Well played, Spurs, by the way. Great credit to themselves.

On current form Real Madrid would be happy with that draw. Alas things could
be different come Feb and Rafa may not be there.

As for the Yids unless they learn how to defend they won't be going much further.

It's funny how people's opinions get changed from round to round:

1. Spurs will never finish 4th, they bottle it every time
2. Spurs will never qualify for it, they bottle it every time
3. Spurs will never beat those Young Boys at home after that partly shambolic display away
4. Spurs will never make it to the next round. Young Boys is one thing, Twente/Bremen/Inter a whole different thing.
5. Spurs will never make it another round further.

I'm sure Spags couldn't care less and rightfully so. Even if it stops here, they've been tremendous.

And Spurs are sure a whole lot of fun to watch.
