Preseason has started--let's talk basketball fools!

Top Ten Power Rankings

1. Lakers--added Barnes and Steve Blake... bench just got a lot better. Still the team to beat
2. Heat--Yeah.
3. Celtics--Proved last year they can't be counted out for being too old.
4. Orlando--I can't remember what they did in the off season...
5. Thunder--Kevin Mother Fucking Durant.
6. Chicago--No Wade, but some nice signings
7. Phoenix--They've done well without Amare before, they have a lot of trade-bait for teams that get desperate around the deadline, and the deepest bench in the league
8. Utah--Could be a really good team if Jefferson is healthy
9. Dallas--Another bad post season last year, but they still should get a lot of regular season wins
10. Portland--They've got to break through eventually

LOWER, I don't see them as a better or worse team than last year.

I don't know, I think Jefferson could be REALLY good. At least he looked really good every time the Timberwolves would inexplicably beat the Suns the last 3 seasons

And the Jazz were pretty good last year. Maybe 4th best in the west? They did look pretty bad against the Lakers though....

Your Top Three is spot on.

But out of those three teams: Lakers, Celtics, Heat; I'd be most surprised to see the Heat win it all.

I think it's kind of a toss-up between Boston and Miami in the East, but I think the Lakers are all but assured a three-peat

Their one weakness was their bench, and adding Barnes and Blake has gotten rid of that problem.

I'm hoping Barnes and Artest magnify each other's stupidity until the team implodes. Other than that.... I don't know what we can wish for (ya know, without bringing back bad karma)

whats the last time artest has done anything stupid?

i would even argue charging into the stands was great just to see that shitheads face light up in that oh-shit-moment when he realized ron was charging

i think a year in the triangle will help ron and get his shot selection better out of it. ratliff i think if he can provide a solid 8-12 minutes per game will be huge if bynum keeps getting hurt. a front line of bynum, odum, gasol with ratliff will be pretty sweet as far as defense goes

also i have a feeling that the miami moves will focus kobe even more than he ever is and his teammates will feed off of that

God, LA is so loaded :shake: I guess that's what 94 million in team salary gets you

Atlanta has to be in the mix somewhere. They must be 11th.
