true, but he wasnt afraid to do humorous commercials every now and then...especially ones that were targeted toward the younger audience. i.e mcdonalds, space jam, doing looney tunes stuff, etc...

I'll give you that excuse, although I believe they revisted Mars with Jordan's comeback. Not nearly as good, though.

The commercials are terrible. Not even remotely funny. Not that it matters.
The jock in question has almost nothing to do with the marketing campaign beyond being the inspiration of it. It doesn't matter what sense of humor an athlete has when he's under contract to do ads for a company.
