Well, some may hate me for it... but the Yankees I think will have a legitimate chance at the World Series again last year. Adding one or two solid pitchers and beefing up the offense just a little with Beltran, you are looking at an excellent team. The key is to get a pitcher or two who has pitched in big games. Thats all they need.
Mussina - big game pitcher
El Duque (if he stays) - I'm sold on him
Jon Lieber - big surprise, but yeah I beleive in him
Brown - get outta New York
Vasquez - keep him around to see if he develops
Bring in the Unit, David Wells, or Carl Pavano as big game pitchers. Dunno about Clement, he hasnt proved anything yet (maybe Matt Morris though).

Call me crazy but I really don't think NY will get Beltran. I think he'll stay w/ Houston. He said himself that if Houston keeps a nucleus of young talent (Berkman, Lidge, Backe, Olswalt, etc.) and show that they're willing to make changes to keep them in playoff contention then he would love to stay.
If Houston doesn't beat ATL...then Beltran is gone....If Houston doesn't compete w/ the best team in baseball and almost win...then Beltran is gone...
But they did, and I think he saw the potential this team has. With a healthy Pettite and Clemons back for 1 more, I think Houston can do it again but maybe w/ a better outcome.
