well the consensus is Gabbert then if it's a QB. That's just a gigantic load for a guy who hasn't yet proved much even on the collegiate level. Rebuild a team who don't even have a Calvin Johnson or a really respectable line.

I have a feeling the Panthers should attempt to trade out here, just way too many needs to try and address with just one pick.

the money involved with the #1 pick makes that almost impossible anymore, but that would be ideal for them because if they could trade down and stay in the top 10, maybe get another 2nd and somehting else in the first few rounds, they could still land a QB as well as more young tallent in the other rounds.

but i doubt they will get any takers

The Dolphins would absolutely like to trade down.

It sucks that having the #1 is such a burden. I honestly could go with five or six different players so whoever you guys take is cool. In real life I think it will probably be Gabbert, but Cam Newton seems very possible too.

OK, I'm on Bengals. Looks like it's time for some cramming.

And on the Panthers, I don't think they should pick a QB. Lots of question marks on this year's group, and they could use to rebuild the team as a whole before looking to a QB to answer all their questions. But I don't pay that much attention to the Panthers, so I might be wrong.

i would think that fairley is the pick at #1.

as others have said, a qb (gabbert especially) isn't solving any of their problems.

Alright, we just need some simple voting at this point.

I vote for Gabbert.
Ellis votes for Fairley.

Everyone else that has an opinion, make a vote for a specific player.

Is fairley even still being considered as even a top 5 pick?

Id be very surprised if this is anyone but blaine gabbert.

Look like Gabbert is the winner.

Alright Xanders, make the right pick! No pressure. :)

if this happens, how long until we have a panthers thread like the raiders thread?

i love how teams completely forget how much of a waste it is to grab this year's david carr or alex smith, when you've got no O-line, D-line, secondary, WR corps...

i understand that w/ the money you grab a guy that should be a franchise guy, but gabbert isn't even the best at his position, let alone the #1 overall pick.

it'll be good news for the broncos though...

I like me a beastly DT...

The Denver Broncos are proud to select Marcell Dareus-DT RTR.
