Really more like a 3-2 game but for sure a fair result for the Samba boys. Was happy with the chances created in the second half at least. Not sure why Bradley and Edu appeared to have switched spots in the midfield for this game. Edu's lack of skill on the ball is less apparent in the destroyer role. Fabian Johnson is the real deal, his shake to create space for a cross should have resulted in a goal by Clint.
Herc Gomez looks like he will be a useful squad guy during qualifying, he played his ass off.

Gomez is fun to watch just to follow the distance he covers. I honestly don't know how he didn't have heat stroke or heart attack on the field. That was amazing. Guy never quits. Very impressive.
Fabian Johnson is a beast. Smooth and confident. Left-back will be filled by him for the next 8 or so years. Right back though. Serious issue. Need someone to step up. Timmy douche bag-I wanna be on the German Team-Chandler needs to be kicked to the curb.
Center-Back. I don't know. No one really stands out.
Mid-field. Up and down. Sometimes we look good. Sometimes, like today, we look shaky. Forwards are young. Based on potential we have a couple who could be good. But they need to be good soon. And not later.

He tracked back amazingly. No quit. I'm glad he's back in the fold and think he will prove useful for a few qualifiers. Remember, Conor Casey helped us qualify for WC 2010. So it will be nice to have more depth in the pool this time around.

Yeah exactly. He doesn't do anything exactly well but you have to respect that heart.

Still feel pretty good about the midfield (in that I think they do create some chances to score even though we can do nothing with them), I thought they played a decent game collectively. We are still weak Forward and the defense is fairly abysmal in places. Yes Brazil will do that to you, but seriously, no one can argue right now that this club is better under Klinsmann than they were under Bradley.

I really feel the 12' team beats any of the Bob teams. The talent pool is just much much deeper than it used to be. I think the game last night proved we can attack against a good team and create chances....2 or 3 years ago I feel like we would have just bunkered in completely and looked for an opportunistic goal on a counter. I think Bob did a good job but we were never going to be consistently good playing that way.

oh, I can argue and many others can argue that the national team is now better than it was with Bob Bradley. We lost to Brazil yes, but we actually went at them. We attacked and attacked. Mistakes were made but this team is growing and progressing. This wasn't a team playing 10 man defense like Chelsea or the US 5 years ago who had no desire to possess the ball and sat back with a deep defensive line and then when the ball was controlled would launch it forward in the hopes of a lucky bounce and maybe even a freak shot on goal.
This style is so much healthier for the long term success of the US. It will bring in better talent and give us a better a chance of winning against the worlds best.
We had good movement, not always, but we made good passes and good runs. Not only that but they were very aggressive passes and runs. Hell we even had a handful of successful through balls. When was the last time that happen on the US national team?

Terrence Boyd is playing in Austria now. Had two goals and an assist in his debut. Also this bicycle kick extravaganza froma friendly last week. Hope this guy steps up and pushes Altidore for the starter's spot.

Gotta hand it to Shea for coming in and making something happen as horrible as his club season has been. This Boyd character seems to have some talent...

A loss at home Tuesday and we are almost surely done for 14 before the Hex even starts. Pathetic to be in this position in group play. The team played like shit but tactically what is JK thinking trotting out 3 defensive mids and playing Gomez on the wing? Our midfield looked like a bunch of deer on ice skates out there...
Dempsey was not fit and gassed by half. Jozy didn't run, not because he isn't fit, but because he is lazy.
They looked really good in the first half last night and were very unlucky not to score. Then we get a lucky goal and completely let up. I mean, give Jamaica credit for trying to come back but it looks like we were just content with a 1-0 lead for the last 30 minutes of the game.
