Other than the home Mexico qualifier and the World Cup, the Gold Cup is just about as big as it gets for a USMNT fan.

maybe so, but the Revs ownership is bar none the worst in MLS and the team will go nowhere until they either get a clue or sell the team. Having Benny Feilhaber drop into your lap doesn't change that.

Exactly I was saying this to a friend just yesterday. Benny Feilhaber hasn't changed Revs since he got there. and the Revs just need to implode what they got and start all over.

Their problems started years ago, they had a great core of players about 5 years ago. They let each one of those guys(other than Joseph and Reis) go away and didnt replace any of them. They still havent replaced Dempsey, or even spent the money they got out of that deal. They never replaced Parkhurst, they still havent even attempted to replace Twellman yet. Feilhaber could be like Zidane for them and it wouldnt matter because Joseph is the only other player worth a shit with him on the attack, and even he is not what he used to be. The Revs rely on the draft like it's 2004-era MLS while the rest of the league is going to Europe to snatch players in their primes out of the mid tier leagues.

So Revs playing the draft card, where everybody else is playing the we want to be like Europe, get the transfers and work on their teams academy.

The revs need a stadium. Also, isn't it about 45 min from Boston just to get there?

Guys, Chicharito came out of UEFA Champions League hiding and now likes to score goals in CONCACAF.

I see him.

I'm ok with that lineup for the US. This will be a tough game, Canada is always hard to beat for us. They came real close to beating us in the last legit Gold Cup.

It's nice that FSC brought in JP Dellacamera. They have been in dire need of a legit announcer since their inception.

Infinitely better effort from the US. Clint Dempsey's goal was sick.

For me Bradley was man of the match along with Howard who made some amazing saves in the 2nd half to keep this in the win column. Dempsey has just got that killer instinct that nobody else on the team has. Jozy had his best game in a while. Goodson and Ream looked like a decent pairing in central defense...

The concacaf announcers were hilariously bad.......'like a fat kid likes cake' and 'wa wa wee wa' Borat style made appearances on their live stream....

Here is the vid of Clint's scorpion kikc. Nevermind the balls it takes to attempt this, but to put it on goal was impressive. Earned a corner but deserved more for the creativity and skill. The Canadian defender should have just stepped aside and let it happen because this would have been quite a goal...

Sorry, I can never get the youtube thing to work...
