Messi is basically the Babe Ruth of soccer-excluding weight gain, life-style craziness, and well everything but the total ownage factor. Anway, it took Cesar, what, 16 years to score 233 goals? Messi did it in 8 years. Also, the first 2 to 3 Messi wasn't even a full time player. Just incredible. He broke the total goals in all competitions for a season as well. Which he already held. Awesome to be able to follow this.

All Messi's fault of course. Only 34 goals & 9 assists in 27 league games as of yet. Really letting his team down there. Seriously, as long as I'm able to watch this kid play, he can be anywhere in the league table he wants, he'll still be light years ahead of every other player out there. Just enjoy it for its pure beauty.

Yeah, makes perfect sense.

:haha:

You seem to have misunderstood my point pal. If you support another team, you're team has roughly around 10% the capability these guys have, it's very much the case of lusting after Natalie Portman only to attract Fearne Britton or Whoopi Goldberg.

not for a long time...

Messi is incredible. Nobody said it was his fault his team is 2nd in the overall very bland Spanish leauge. But since this is a Barca thread, I thought I should point it out.

they want something huge, the champions league again

but they may win the league again, since Real Madrid is falling and there's a Real x barca game, and you KNOW who will win it

I'm pretty sure that if they could choose, Barca and their fans would take another win over Madrid in el Clásico than the Liga.

It just got really interesting. Madrid ended up with a 1-1 draw today and will be without Ramos and Ozil this weekend. Both received red cards. Kind of shocked it wasn't Pepe who lost his cool. I like Madrid but fuck I can't stand that pile of shit Pepe.

It's not because the two top teams are that much better than the rest that the rest is no good. Or haven't you seen Athletic de Bilbao completely outplaying/humiliating the Premier League leaders over both legs with beautiful, modern, high-pressing, attacking football led by some youngsters? Even most United-fans & even Ferguson admitted it was a joy to watch.

Anyway, Madrid still has some tough fixtures coming up, along with the game at Camp Nou. Valencia (H), Atletico (A), Sevilla (H), Bilbao (A). They just cannot afford to lose more than 2 points. Huge advantage for them is the easy Champions League draw though. But this is not over.

VV, Alves, Masch, Puyol, Adriano, Busquets, Xavi, Thiago, Iniesta, Messi & Tello.

This is the starting eleven for Barça tonight. Seriously. Alves, Mascherano & Adriano are transfers. The rest come directly from the Barça youth set up. That's stunning in today's football era. Simply stunning.
