Anyone but England. And yes, even the French.

As for our boys, a history of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. That'll be the last world cup O Driscoll plays in, maybe even the last time he plays for his country. So sad he never really Rose fully to his potential for us. Provincial rugby he's a complete genius, but he never fully brought it for Ireland. Even though he was a magician on countless occasions.

It'll be many many years before ireland puts a team out with teeth and worthy of fear and respect. Ragin.

I admit I was going for France too, as the commentator said they pull out one great game every World Cup. Is their coach any good? The guy does not look like a smart man, not that that means anything of course. England do tend to play boring Rugby.

Wallabies!!! That was a stressful game to watch.

All Blacks really missed Carter in that game.

England cheapen rugby. That penalty kicking thing is chicken shit. Sooner theyget rid of Wilkinson the better their team and prospects will be for it.

Always thought BOD was THE consummate sportsperson. Class. Rugby is poorer because of his pending retirement.

A great counterbalance to all them footballers in the papers. Keeping this rugby-focused, yeah, Tindall and Ashton. Twats.

Farewell too, to John Smit and Victor Matfield. Smit called it right when he finished the game and straight on to congratulating the Aussie defence, and then to pay tribute to Matfield. What. A. Lock. For the last 15 years of tri-nations, I've held so much distaste for the widespread Saffa tactics like eye-gouging, but Matfield was always above it all. Bakkies Botha dabbled in it, but it was still a shame he was injured and couldn't have a swansong.

About this morning's matches...

I have a good feeling - when Cooper has a shocker like he did, when we can't seem to win even a single lineout off own own throw, when our scrum seems like it's getting turned at will... and we can still beat the Boks? Yes, Lawrence had no control of the breakdown, and Pocock took full advantage of that - that's what a 7 is sposed to do. But he was also utterly blind to Saffas being offside at every ruck. He was just generally shit, but rugby fans know he is just generally shit anyway.

I know we have the ABs, but... I have a good feeling. Especially with McCaw crocked, Carter out, Slade doubtful. Muliaina with a bad knock. So long as James O'Connor doesn't line-up on the same wing as SB Williams, I'm ok.

I understood 33% of that Hinny.

Great, incredible, tense, gutsy win. Pocock played a blinder and Cooper had a shocker. I can't believe that my wife just sat there and read facebook the whole time, while I am stomping around biting my nails and screaming at the TV.

I'm staggered and delighted that we've (Wales) made the semis. The back row has been a revelation as has Priestland in getting the most of out of Roberts in centre. Devastated he's out injured but hopefully Hook can step in and we can beat the French on Saturday! Very nervous already...

Let's go Wales!

Crap, Beale is out for tomorrow's match. Can someone 'accidentally' tread on McCaw's left foot a few times?

Just... cruelly stressful. I wish we'd have won a little more convincingly. Kinda makes the whole thing less impressive IMO. Ah well, can't wait for the 4 Nations.
