I think Giroux is going to have a massive season. That dude deserves more time in big situations. Simmonds is a workhorse. Scheen is apparently a great playmaker so we will see. Not sure they will miss richards and carter as much as people think. Voracek is also going to be special. He was on the cusp in Columbus, but wasn't in a great situation there.

Don't forget as well Philly is dealing with having this weird thing called a "goaltender" that they haven't had in awhile. Probably since Hextall.

Philly will finish 2nd in the division behind NY. Pittsburgh will finish last behind NJ unless Crosby returns sooner than later. Rangers with some HEALTHY offense should win the division as long as they stay HEALTHY as does the king.

Pittsburgh did just fine without Crosby and Malkin last year. I see no reason to believe they won't be fine again this year, and they'll have Malkin back.

I just wanted to get in on this thread on the ground floor. I will check it multiple times every day but only post in it every 30 pages or so.

Best wishes to Sid.

I can't wait for my overpaid team to flame out in the playoffs again.

Went to Avs training camp this morning. Landeskog is a fucking tank. People just bounce off the guy, and he's 18 years old.

LOL. Pittsburgh was ridiculous last year when Malkin and Crosby were out, no way the finish anywhere near last. Malkin is healthy, will have a full season with a decent winger, they are well coached, have a ton of guys with grit and heart and Fleury. They are a playoff team for sure without Crosby, they will fight for the division if he is back by December.

That's a pretty solid division, and I feel like it's pretty much a toss-up between NYR, Philly and Pittsburgh for first... and that's only because I have no idea what to think of the Devils this year, but who knows, they could be up there too. I feel like a lot of people are really, really overrating the Islanders in saying they have some kind of chance at making the playoffs because I really think they'll be fighting just to stay out of the bottom 3 or so. They kind of remind me of the Baltimore Orioles before the season started.
