i'm a plague on this thread. i post the above, then they get 44 yards on the next play... so i guess that the seahawks would have to remain as the pick? watch them beat atlanta.

he is elite.

he's the worst starter in red sox history to pitch as many innings as he did in a single season.

that takes a special player.

Pretty sure it's going to be the Seahawks.

Regardless if they finish the worst, I'm rooting for them to get Andrew Luck. Then I'd have a great thread to bump.

Also, I don't know how no one's mentioned the Vikings yet.

It's just a huge fuck-up to draft QBs in the first twice in a row. This wouldn't be a problem if NFL coaches/GMs were ok with admitting mistakes, but they're not. At all. It would make the Ponder pick essentially worthless so I don't see it happening. The Seahawks, Chiefs and Dolphins are favorites to me because of this. They have no strong tie to their QBs and didn't waste 1st rounders on them.

I was just talking about the race to the bottom, not to who gets Andrew Luck.

Oh yeah. Well it still kinda applies. I see the Vikings trying to trade the pick for a huge ransom if they get it.

That pick will be worth a ton to Minnesota with the new salary structure. Having the 1st overall pick and having a starting QB on a rookie contract will mean you don't have to pay a "starting" qb contract for 4 or 5 years- which means they can get a ton in trade

Yeah but like I said, NFL coaches/GMs are retarded when it comes to their pride. The Panthers reset with Clausen but he was total dogshit and a 2nd rounder. I don't know, I just don't see it happening. There's every chance I'm totally wrong though.

Right. I'm focusing on Luck, therefore the absence of the Vikings (so far), but if Ponder gets in there for half the season and they still get the first pick, who knows. That's also why the Rams aren't making my list.

I agree with you. But it will have a shit ton of value in trade. 1st overall is not the contractual/cap albatross it was a couple years ago.

Seattle might be the worst team around but they play in the NFC West. I really think that hurts their chances. They will struggle to get 3 wins or less.

That's fine.

I have this nightmare that Miami actually secures the #1 pick and then Luck stays in college. That would not be good for my health.
