They also won 6 out of 7 games after the "good job, good effort" pep talk.

That kid was friggin awesome. I don't care that everybody was laughing at the Heat for it, I thought he was awesome.

Congrats to the Heat. Some may put an asterisk next to this year due to the lockout shortened season, but the Heat played their best when they needed to.

Somehow I don't think this will be the last time the Heat and Thunder meet in the finals.

Good point about the lockout. There's no way I can take this championship seriously.

That's likely true.

so you agree with lenny then?

I agree with Mr. weedwacker about a few things...this, however is not one of them.

I'm not going to say it's tainted, but it's definitely less impressive.

More opportunities for injury prone guys like Wade to get hurt.

True - but that works across the league as well.

Every team played the same amount of games, and the playoffs ran in the same format that they always do - so every team had an equal chance to win.

This year, it was the guy y'all love to hate...and that makes me happy.

mike miller, last night's hero, barely made it through the game and it was a shortened season. if it's an 82 game schedule, he dies of a heart attack in the eastern finals, OKC wins last night, and lebron still doesn't have his title this morning.

No disrespect to Miami but Miller, Chalmers, and Battier all shot way better than normal. And OKC shot way worse than normal.

That could be...or he misses 60 regular season games and returns for the playoffs.

Maybe Durant blows out his ACL in game 99 of the regular season and OKC doesn't even make the playoffs.

You guys are grasping at straws with your lame assed arguments.

It is what it is...better luck next year.

Well apparently Perkins had a torn groin the last 3 games so that explains Miami's victories.

They won't be able to afford these guys that carried them much longer anyway with James, Wade, and Bosh's salaries.
