NBC30 in CT is reporting Jim Calhoun will retire from UConn tomorrow.
Right in time to avoid the postseason ban.
I was kind of pissed he didn't see that through, but I think it's probably for the better. Ollie will have a season to basically figure things out without the pressure of having to qualify for the tournament. Although he only has a one year deal, so he better figure it out quickly.

I'm not a fan of coaches who high tail it out of situations they got into. He had a great career though.

I'm not a fan of coaches who high tail it out of situations they got into. He had a great career though.
i don't think high tailing is correct in this situaiton. he will still remain a huge part of the uconn Basketball team. kinda like John Thompson is doing. Expect to see him being extremely active with Kevin and the team this year.
Also, the dude is 70 and has beaten cancer 3 times. I think it was a good time to step down and hand it over to KO
