The league is up to 19 teams now and entering its 17th season. The quality of play seems to improve every year (although it still has a long way to go) and Direct Kick is only 79 bucks on Drect TV
L.A. is going to struggle more than people think this year and the West looks a lot stronger than the East anyway......my prediction is a Sporting Kansas City MLS Cup.
I look forward to posting in this thread in relative obscurity for the next 8 months.

If anyone wants to turn in to ESPN2 tonight to watch some soccer the timbers fans will be there doing this. I support the Fire, but their fans have nothing on Portland

really? i thought they would have just used football stadiums since they're not being used.
They're too cavernous and don't create a good atmosphere for a soccer match. NFL stadiums get used for friendlies against big Euro teams but only a couples of teams use them on a game to game basis.

Man.....MLS did NOT show well in the concacaaf champions league. Sounders got dismantled and Galaxy lost to a weak Toronto side that will not be able to compete against the good mexican squads....

You know, now is a better time than ever to be a fan of an MLS team, unless...
that team that you are a fan of is the Revolution. They are such a pathetic reminder of what MLS used to be that I find myself watching less and less MLS each year as the league gets better and better.

Playing at Gillette Stadium does them no favors either. There are some really cool soccer specific stadiums in MLS now and the Revs definitely don't have one....

I remember when RFK Stadium was one of the best MLS stadiums in the league, now it's the fkkn worst. And DCU signed a new lease through 2013.

Doesn't Montreal play at that old dump the Expos used to play at? That can't be anything special either....
DCU deserves better than RFK. Must be reasons they are stuck at RFK I guess.
