I made that up. I have no clue who I'd pick. I only follow golfers loosely and couldn't tell you who typically does well there or who is hot these days (other than Rory or Mahan).
McIlroy, Kaymer, and Keegan Bradley will be up there too.
also in my top 5
Tiger Rory Westwood Choi Phil
Is that list in order? Tiger winning? Seems like he might be over his putting & driving issues. Will be interesting to see how much he presses at Augusta.

no order just who I think I have a great chance..even when Tiger is off he's a top 4-5 there

I agree, and like your list. Phil's the same way there. And, I'm always pulling for him. Should be a great tournament, so many top quality players have a chance.

I'm thinking it will either be Tiger, Mahan, Donald, or Mickelson. If Tiger plays like he did two weeks ago he may win by more than 3 or 4 strokes. Remember, he has finished tied for 4th the past 2 years playing his C game.

Question to the more hardcore golf fans: Is watching golf significantly more fun for you when Tiger is playing well/in contention down the stretch?

Yes and no. It's fun when Tiger is playing well because he hits ridiculous shots. It's not fun because all they do is show his shots and completely ignore everyone else in the field. And the constant gushing about everything little thing he does and "this shot is impossible to get close" shtick is incredibly annoying.

For me, someone who has watched every major since the mid-90s, yes. When he is on his game there is perhaps no one more exciting to watch in all of sports. I still enjoy watching golf when he's not in contention, but he makes it more interesting because I feel like I am witnessing history.

I would agree with this.

yes if everyone else is playing very well. Last years ending to the Masters was awesome even if I had no idea who Schwartzel was.
When you're on the course the crowd is seemingly more engaged if Tiger (or Phil or Rory or some other sentimental favorite as far as the masters is concerned) is in it and that makes it more fun.
If it's any othe or random golf tournament or say the PGA... Tiger basically dominates the interest of the masses. Almost no one else is even being followed.. At the PGA last year probably half or more of the crowd was walking with Tigers group. (This group was Happy Gilmouresque in thier attire and demeanor)
I can kind of take or leave the Tiger coverage though, agree with the above. Obviously they do it because the masses demand it, but yeah it's annoying.
