that 3rd Messi goal was most likely better than anything we'll see at the Euro's. :)

This gave me some huge chills, last night. Deep inside, I've always loved the guy.

Just watched the Portugal-Denmark game. Great match. Portugal looked really dominant in the second half, but Denmark capitalized when they could - though that guy blew it with a fairly open shot in the stoppage time.

Wish I could watch the Holland-Germany game starting very soon.

Ireland have Spain...if they turn up wearing blindfolds, we're still gonna have trouble with them..
I'm delighted we're there, but if we had trouble with Croatia(3 fuckin 1???) we're gonna have huge problems with Spain and Italy...both teams we've beaten in the recent past but now? it's ll to play for and Ireland doesn't have a hope sadly..

Yeah, they're definitely outmatched in that group. But, heh, at least you guys qualified for the Cup play. And, can still root them on, you never know what could happen. I mean, not many would've picked Denmark to beat Holland either.

Ireland has to at least get a point out of the Spain game, then beat Italy to have any chance really. A tall order but wackier things have happened.

At least it's a real sport.

As opposed to, say... baseball.

If the Irish had gotten an English draw they would have had a chance.

Easily. All our lads play in the premiership, it's confusing why they can't pull it together and be high functioning as a team in internationals. That said, We can take Sweden and England on any day of the week, but the England-Sweden game last night, was the game of the tournament so far. Neither side gave up and there was some wonderful phases of play and man, that guy Ibrahamovich..what a fuckin dick!! he well and truly believes he's God on earth!
