haha, winner!
Did anyone else find it weird that they gave Cutler the night off due to becoming a new father, but that he was not only on the sideline but completely dressed? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

Not if he hadn't been sleeping or missed some practices leading up to it.
Almost from the start of training camp, coach Romeo Crennel has tried to downplay expectations for rookie nose tackle Dontari Poe, the Chiefs first-round draft pick. Crennel put that in his strongest terms yet on Wednesday when asked what Poe needs to improve on in order to get more playing time.
“A lot,” Crennel said. “He needs to work on technique, he needs to work on understanding the system, he needs to get the calls correct all the time. He’s got a ways to go.”
Anthony Toribio, who spent all of last season on the practice squad, remains as the starting nose tackle ahead of Poe on the depth chart. Poe enters the lineup on obvious passing downs when the Chiefs use their nickel defense.
Poe acknowledged the difficulty of adjusting to the NFL game.
“It’s all different,” he said. “The technique of it, there’s nothing the same about the college level. The only thing the same is that it’s football. As far as the speed level and the strength and all that, you’ve got to learn it all over again.
“I still have a ways to go but I’m getting better every day. I’m just trying to do what I can, trying to do everything they teach me.”
Still scratching my head at that pick.
Otherwise, I'm fairly optimistic. Outside of QB I think the Chiefs have a playoff caliber team. I'm not looking forward to playing Manning twice this season, but I think we're legitimate contenders in the West.

Yeah I think the Chiefs are the biggest threat in the division. Hopefully it'll be back to the way it was several times in the past 20 years, with the Broncos and Chiefs vying for the division and the Raiders firmly in the basement.

God, I hope so.
I like the healthy Denver/KC rivalry. I respect it. Especially when both teams are playing their best. But I fucking HATE Oakland with all my soul.
Anyway... my Chiefs look pretty good tonight. It's only one meaningless preseason game, but I think there was a lot to be excited about. I hope they can keep it up.

DLINEMAN FOR SALE. WHO NEEDS DLINEMAN.
Pretty sure the Lions have 10-12 starting quality Dlineman.
Falcons need Ends. Got any Ends?
YES. Lots of Ends!!
Seriously though, the Lions are going to end up cutting some quality, starting level defensive linemen, and I really hope that Mayhew is able to get some decent picks out of trades for them.
DT's Suh, Fairley, Williams, Hill, Fluellen. DE's Avril, KVB,Willie Young, Lawerence Jackson, Ronnell Lewis and Everette Brown.

Yeah that's a pretty insane rotation, you guys could probably get a depth CB/LB or some mid-round picks.
CB hopefully. I think the LB is pretty set. Levy/Durant/Tulloch.. and the coachs (including schwartz- who is usually not very forthcoming with praise) LOVE Tahir Whitehead and Travis Lewis.
Bill Bentley looks like he could be a player as well.
