So things I learned last night, Tony Romo is going to be fairly lights out with protection, and the Cowboys seem to have fixed the OL. ALso, the Cowboys secondary looks a lot better.
The Giants are in trouble until they get a few CB's healthy, they might want to put in a call to Dominique Franks stat. The Giants cannot run block for shit. It looks like they didn't practice.
All that said, the Giants play like that a lot during the regular season. If they get healthy at CB, look out, they were a half a step late on a lot of pressures last night.
Two really good football teams though, hell of a win by Dallas.
Also, Replacement Refs in this game were every bit as good as the regular refs. They probably called what was a sloppy game tighter than what the regular refs would have but if this is what we get this year I'm completely fine with it so far.

Agree with you for the most part. Cowboys OL isn't great but if they can at least give Romo the chance to break contain, that's probably good enough. They looked decent in run blocking after the initial jitters wore off.
Giants have the same problem the Cowboys had all year, being forced to start #4 and #5 CBs. Tryon got torched all night after he came in, and it's nice to see the shoe on the other foot as I thought Claiborne and Carr played very, very well. Both Nicks and Cruz were held under 10 yards per catch--no easy task.
Very happy with the development of Ogletree as we need that #3 guy to play well. If he continues to progress we have a scary trio of big, fast receivers. Dez and Miles are both very hard covers when they're healthy. I also liked what I saw from Phillips and Hanna, the #2 and #3 TEs. Each blocked well and made a good catch or two.
Football is back. Fuck yes!

Last night's Giants-Cowboys game played out pretty typical...Giants sleep walk through the regular season, earn a playoff bid and kick everyone's ass in the playoffs, while the Cowboys earn a few early quality wins and then whimper at the end of the season/playoffs.
Of course, I picked the Giants last night, so what do I know...
