Still amazed at how a team like the Bengals lucked out on Domata Peko.

I didn't realize he was a 4th rounder. Also, I often think American Samoa would be the second best team in the world in football, if countries had teams. I just wonder about their QB situation.

I was just thinking about the Bengals in the same way this morning. Like them a lot as well. Pittsburgh's O-line still worries me, and while I think the Ravens are probably a better team overall still, the Bengals could challenge them for the division.

I put in to be a game charter for Football Outsiders this year. If I don't get it I'd still be totally down to answer any questions for people who don't have all-22 film and would like to know about a particular play or scheme. Been seeing a lot of cool stuff already lately.

That's awesome. Assuming I've got some money next year, I think I'll be doing the coaches film thing too. Way too much interesting stuff to resist. Especially that endzone cam. The idea of watching pro line play makes me salivate a bit (I love the different camera options NBC has for watching SNF online).

Tonight's preseason thoughts:
--David Wilson and Ramses Barden looked very impressive for the Giants.
--The O-line is still the Achilles heel of the Bears. That may the only thing holding them back.
--I know the Seahawks are underrated, but if this is what the Chiefs are going to look like the regular season maybe I shouldn't be as scared of them as I am.
--Russell Wilson. He has really impressed me unexpectedly.

This thought has struck me about a lot of teams this preseason. I don't know if some o-lines are bad, or d-lines are just going to have a hell of a year.

All the talent on this squad, and this is the best they can muster? In the "least important pre-season game" of the year? I'm not saying Denver's fine, but I am saying KC may not be their primary worry.

We gotta get our shit together. Unacceptable.

Well the Broncos sure look like they got their shit together today. Even Hanie was looking decent after throwing another bad interception.

So the Pats are trying to move Koppen? I wouldn't mind the Cowboys offering a low-mid rounder. I'm also thinking Branch will get an offer from someone like Miami very soon and Hoyer will be signed quickly as well.

Here's my Super Bowl pick before the season kicks off in a few hours:

Packers OVER Patriots in a rematch of the '96 Super Bowl, which was also played in New Orleans, same site for this year's battle.

Tom Brady moves to 3-3 lifetime in Super Bowls.

Packers win second title in three years.
