That would be an awesome MNC game. The over/under would have to be at least 100.

I've never bet on a sporting event in my life, but I'll drive to Vegas and put everything on the under, thanks.

I would still be tempted, and maybe if I knew someone who was in Vegas anyway I'd have him put some money down for me.

There's just a long pattern of even the best offenses taking a while to get going in the national championship game. Sure, you might also be going up against a better defense, but the real issue is just ... these teams have had a month or more off. You're not going to be sharp. Auburn and Oregon combined for all of 41 points, and much of that came in the fourth quarter.

I went back through previous national title games (or de facto title games) and you have to go back to 1995 to find one where the teams went over 80 (and only then because the Huskers hung 62 on Florida). Even USC/Texas didn't get there (I think that got to 79, but still).

80 is just a lot of points.

Not for Georgia Tech and North Carolina last week. 68 - 50.

It would be hard to expect Oregon or Kansas State to put up those kind of numbers with that kind of pressure. I'd go under too at 80 but I'd be really tempted at 60.

This is not the kind of football my Cats play. Penalties? Turn overs?

Yikes.

Slow down, Cats. Play your brand of football. And fucking WIN THIS.

Great season, Cats. I won't soon forget it. And, of the remaining games this is the one that scared me, not Texas. Still... this sucks. I'm still a proud Wildcat, but it's hard to believe what I'm seeing.

Man...

Good game, Baylor. Way to take the Cats out of their element. Can't believe what I just saw... but hats off to the Bears.

Holy shit, assuming they handle Tech next week my Georgia Bulldogs are in a play-in game for the national title. Doubt they'll upset Bama but they've got a puncher's chance.

Irish are going to get destroyed in the title game by whoever shows up. It will be like when ohio state used to make championship games, total beat down. Beat purdue by 3, michigan by 7, stanford by 7, BYU by 3, Pitt by 3...... but hey, they're number 1!!!!! To be fair, they did have impressive wins against Navy and Wake Forest...

That might have been the most LSU game for LSU so far this season.

Looks like I'm about to reminded again why I hate college football's stupid "ranking" system.
