I'll second the love for the Instrument dvd. I've seen Fugazi live twice, and that dvd just brings it all back for me.
I love watching Guy dance. Oh man.
And that first performance they show on Instrument? I forget which song it is, I know it's something from Repeater though. But anyway, I love how the music slowly builds up and Ian and Guy just start pacing back and forth staring at each other. So menacing, like two tigers circling each other, a step forward, a step backward, sizing each other up. And then of course it all just explodes. Orgasmic.

I love the places they play on the Instrument dvd. The one place looks like a prison or alternative home and the other is a gymnasium. Guy climbs the basketball hoop and hangs upside down while singing.

I'm listening to 13 Songs for the first time, and I'm definitely getting a "holy shit, I need to get a hold of everything these guys have done as soon as possible" vibe from this. Just pure awesome.

Whoa there; that's a bit of a jump going from the debut to the most recent album.....It's a good album nontheless, but it could be a bit different; I'd recommend Repeater next, then Red Medicine to hear the progression leading to The Argument. Just my two cents.....

Man, I really love Fugazi. For a while I wasn't listening to very much rock music, but they really helped to get me back into liking it a lot. Each album is really stellar, and it's like there's never a bad song. I really like on the one song on Red Medicine (Combination Lock maybe) where Guy says "How do you like my sense of humor?" over and over again. They're political, they're clever, and they rock. Now in my top five bands probably, just great.
