The part of my brain that I use to connect with a good Animal Collective song is in all likelihood the same part of my brain that helped me embrace Baman Piderman, Jorge. If you look at this music critically, you're going to come up with a lot of reasons why it's too silly, or too masturbatory, or too whatever. It's more fun to listen to it knowing that most of it is made by a group of guys that really just enjoy making sounds together. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.
