Question:
My turntable has a phono pre-amp. My current receiver does not have a phono input so i am running the RCA cables into the aux jack.
Am i losing audio quality (other than the fact i have a shitty receiver)? Do I need to get a receiver with a phono input or is that pointless since my table has a phono pre amp?
Phono input on your receiver is only important if you don't have a pre amp on your turntable.
Thanks guy!
I should still get a new receiver though. I agree.
Get that Marantz.
He is actually showing 2 different photos. 1 is the 2230 and the other is the 2270 - So im waiting to hear what the hell the issue is.
Im hoping getting a better receiver will help with some clarity issues im having with my urrent setup. Some times it feels as though its a tad muffled. However, it could also be the recordings. Ive been listing to Let It Be, Rubber Factory (BLack Keys) and the replacements. All very different time periods....varying sound issues....
