I rebought this the other night because I lent it to my ex and never got it back. I forgot how much I loved this album. Definitely my favorite QOTSA |

yeah it's probebly the best album to get into the band. its the way i did. the drumming is fantastic. but Rated R > songs for the deaf i might even prefer their first album. |

I don't think I'll ever forget how badass this album is. It slapped my 14 year old face around and still does so frequently. |

I love half of the songs and never listen to the rest. Song for the Deaf is probably in my top few hundred songs though, excellent piece of work. |

I was just thinking the other day how I hadn't listened to this album in ages. I'm gonna have to track this one down again and give it a whirl. |

Sure is. I couldn't beleive what I heard when I bought this cd, it's just so intense. I had countless nights on the road with a j and some friends cranking the hell out this thing. And I bought it on the day it came out for 7 bucks. |

And I bought it on the day it came out for 7 bucks. yeah. it was a real slap in the face to me when I bought it. I remember that day perfectly, because nothing could have wiped the smile off of my face as soon as Millionaire kicked in. My life is better now that I have rebought this album. I lent it to my ex last July, and we broke up in august. So it's been almost a year. Too long, too long. But it's good now. I have songs for the deaf and I no longer have to worry about ever having to deal with that psycho bitch again. It was getting to the point where I was going to call her to get it back, but that would have resulted in a summer of being harrassed by the crazy bitch. I'm glad I saw the album really cheap |

Awesome album. I recently got an actual copy after dealing with a burned one for years. Makes it just a little more awesomer. ![]() |

I'm eternally conflicted about this album. On the one hand, I detest the wretchedly spartan production. On the other hand, that's precisely its appeal. Great songwriting and perfomances though. Dave Grohl beats all our asses. |

I don't like it that much. I like No One Knows so when one day I found this record cheap I bought it, but I listened to it a couple of times and then stopped for monthes. The other day I was looking for a driving CD and decided to give this another chance, but I had to put it out of the player because some of it really suck. Yeah, I said it. * holds up shield * |

It took me a while to get into the whole thing, but the first time i heard it was at a listening station in a record store. I had no idea who they were other than the fact that i knew they had Grohl drumming on some songs. Millionaire tore my face off and i didn't even bother listening to the rest - i bought it right away. I barely listen to it anymore because i'm always listening to the first two ![]() |

I personally prefer Lullabies, but even if I was swayed the other way, "definitely" is bold, pushing tomfoolery. |
