halp identifying this song plz
Alright this has been driving me nuts. I watched part of an episode of CSI: Miami last night and they played a song that sounded an awful lot like Sigur Ros but it was something i've never heard before. It was poppier than most Sigur Ros and could have been vaguely acoustic (it was tough to tell during the 20 seconds it played). The lead voice was very much like Jonsi's tone and style, but there were backing vocals as well.
Anyways i fell asleep before the credits so i never got to figure it out
If it helps, i've only heard the albums Agaetis, ( ) and Takk so it could be a b-side or something off Von...or it could be a completely different band but they definitely weren't singing in english.

They're playing a short acoustic set in Belgium for the film festival (with their film to precede the concert) and it was sold out before I even know it would happen.
the american premiere of “heima” will be held as part of the new yorker festival in new york on saturday the 6th of october. “an evening with sigur rós” will include a screening of “heima”, a questions and answers session and an acoustic set performed by the band.

I wonder how long the set will be.
In Belgium it's 20 minutes and I'm still fucking pissed this was sold out before I even knew about it.

ive really gotten into these guys pretty hard over the last month. Im excited to see these guys at bonnaroo. Im curious, and want to know from the people who've seen them live, how are their shows? I can't imagine people standing up during their shows.

They're incredible live. And you're right about the standing up part. I saw them in a theater about two years ago and everyone sat and was pin-drop quiet throughout the whole thing, except to applaud after songs. One of my greatest live experiences, probably, and I don't even listen to them much anymore.

The fact that they are going to be at the 'roo really had me debating whether or not to go back. PJ is obviously a draw for me, but I've yet to see Sigur Ros and they are THEE band that I would like to see with the line-up... even when I thought Led Zeppelin was in there. I'm really looking forward to the new album and more importantly a US tour. I've really kicked myself in the ass for missing them at MSG the last time around. And I've been listening to () a lot lately, quite a few times I've just thrown it in and listened straight on through, I even tagged Untitled 9 from the Untitled 1 single on the end and I still want more... thus repeat.

The last time I saw them my wife and I saw them at the Civic Opera House (front row center). It was my 5th time seeing them. I saw them before at the Vic, which was standing. I much preferred the sit down show at the Opera House. All shows were amazing though.
My wife actually fell asleep on my shoulder, and felt stupid because she knew the lead singer saw her. Then, about 2 weeks later, Sigur Ros gave an interview to Pitchfork where they specifically said that they were honored when people fell asleep at their shows. Pretty funny.
